Scotland’s only LGBT+ Wrestling Event Returns for Pride Weekend

Scotland’s only LGBT+ professional wrestling show, I’m Coming Oot, is set to dazzle audiences in Glasgow City Centre this Pride Weekend.

Emanating from Slay in the heart of Glasgow’s Merchant City, I’m Coming Oot brings together elite level professional wrestlers from across the UK to put on a hard hitting, high flying celebrating of diversity and inclusivity like no other.

Discussing the groundbreaking event, organiser and renowned professional wrestler “The Weapon of Sass Destruction” Che Monet, said: “For me, this show is to highlight the diversity, the skills and the athleticism that exists in Scotland, particularly in the wrestling community. Pride is usually all unicorns and rainbows. I want to show everyone we can kick ass too!

“I’ve always said I’m not ‘a gay wrestler’, I’m a wrestler who happens to be gay. And that’s why this is so important, it’s not about your sexual orientation, or your gender or your race: it’s about showcasing talent that deserves to be seen, putting on a hell of a show, and having a lot of fun doing it.”

A lifelong fan with a nearly 10 year career, Che has brought together a unique set of talent from all across the UK and European scene. From home grown talents including Angel Hayze, Arcade Violence and the Young Team, to international performers Liam Slater and Allie Catch, there’s something for everyone, whether a die-hard fan or just looking for a fun night out.

Che added: “I grew up watching the likes of Eddie Guerrero, Chyna, Booker T and my al time favourite, Rikishi. Every time wrestling came on I’d record it, I’d pay for Sky Box Office PPVs and stay up until the wee hours of the morning watching the shows. It even caused me to show up to a musical theatre audition horrifically hungover and have a complete disaster.

“And that’s what I want to showcase, no matter what your journey or background into wrestling, we’re all fans. We all love it. So forget everything you think you know about wrestling, forget stereotypes. Let’s get together, make a safe space for everyone and have a great time.”

Kicking off with VIP doors at 6.30pm and general admission at 7pm, this event is open to over 14s (with an adult) and available for the bargain price of just £10. For just £13, you can also get exclusive early entry and access to VIP matches before the rest of the crowd join the fun.

Che added: “If you’re not sure if it’s for you, we promise you’ll be welcome. Just show up and be you – that’ll get you far! The response has been great, and this year is going to be bigger and better than ever.”

Tickets can be purchased at RingsideWorld.co.uk or via the link provided. Each ticket also includes free entry to the after-party at The Polo Lounge (over 18s only.)
