RAW HAS NO HEELS - SECOND BATCH OF READER FEEDBACK TO RAW

By PWInsiderXtra Readers on 9/19/2006 10:59 AM

One thing that is obvious now is that Raw has no heels! They had to bring in Cade and Murdoch to the main event due to the shortage. That's what you get for pushing the McMahons as the top heels.

-Dx is getting old fast. I can't stand 2 guys almost 40 who act like they are 2 years old and for some reason love to show guys asses. HHH is so jealous of Hogan, yet he will never be as big and Hunter, you have held back many people, see RVD, Orton, Steiner, Goldberg, Eugene and the Raw roster for more info.....

-The IC match was the best on the show, lots of action with great spots. Jeff Hardy is staying strong and they are doing a good job of mixing feuds.

-Edge should still be champ, he is a true heel like Flair was.

Did I see Shelton Benjamin on Raw? Candice is dressing like Trish, that's a good things for us all!

Proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.

Beer. Or personally - Dr. Pepper.

Candice Michelle stretching in the ring.

NO VINCE MCMAHON.

Funniest Raw moments.

During a Kane/Umaga chopfest replay, JR tells us to listen to how loud the chops were. Then the clip is played in slo-mo with no sound.

Anytime Randy Orton says he is the future of Raw, WWE, & the wrestling industry. And he got all this from beating...... Carlito??

You know the six pack challenge is getting dull when the crowd is so quiet you can hear the 5 fans chanting "Nitro".

Whenever a member of The Spirit Squad says (while sober), that he can beat Ric Flair.

The DX tribute to Vince McMahon.

So Cade & Murdoch are with Edge now?? Why?? Because that's the only way they will ever get in the main event. BTW - ever get the feeling that Murdoch has seen Deliverance once too often, and giggles at the "squeal like a pig" scene??

We get Kane & Umaga again?? Thank goodness for Tivo.

Ric Flair vs - whoever from Spirit Squad. Flair wins - as it should be. But he's just been kind of hanging around for the last month or so. They need to put him in to a new feud.

Orton sings his praises, then Nitro, Masters, Carlito, Super Crazy and Jeff Hardy come out. Johnny Nitro - you may be a good wrestler (or you may not), but don't you ever get near a microphone again. Six Pack challenge. Good idea. Bad execution. Not a battle royale. Not an elimination match. No. Whoever pins whoever is the IC champ. After about the 1st 50 near falls, I started to doze off. I liked Nitro's over the top rope jump, and everyone parts like the Red Sea and he ends up splatting on the ground. Oh yeah, Nitro won.

DX tribute to Vince McMahon. Good or bad, DX is just my sense of humor, so the more juvenile and tasteless, the better. Sadly I think next week we'll find out that DX ISN'T finished with Vince yet.

Candice vs Lita. Candice looked hot. And Lita looked........ Well. Lita needs to add to her arsenal of kick her down, hit her down, kick her down, hit her down. And was anyone surprised when Mickie came down and cost Lita the match?? Anyone??

DX & Cena vs Edge & Cade/Murdoch...... Short version - bad guys won by DQ. When Edge was surrounded in the ring, I thought for a second that DX was going to turn on Cena. Did you see the looks HHH was giving Cena during the opening segment?? Kind of like "I haven't forgotten".

After Unforgiven I was hoping for a hot show but did I get one? Well…

God bless the Montreal fans for their reaction to Cena. It reminded me of the night Hogan got that huge reaction after WM 18 only with boos. It’s a shame that Cena tries to laugh it off rather than grow a set and give it back to the fans. It worked for HBK for the past 9 years. Also, what idiot thought it would be a good idea to have Edge heel the fans just so their golden boy Cena could be cheered? I wish the WWE just let the fans react the way they want to and not the way WWE wants them to. I suppose having Edge introduce Cade & Murdoch was because most fans had probably forgotten about them. If the HITC was that bad, shouldn’t DX have been at home resting up too?

Only the McEgo family can not be on the show and yet still have loads of time devoted to them via those silly “Get well” messages and the DX video recap. Was this meant to be funny? At least it was an interesting way to set up some of the matches and feuds, but overall just more of an ego stroke for the McEgos family. Damn them to hell…

Are they really going down the racist route again? Will Teddy Long relinquish his SD GM spot to represent Shelton Benjamin in his fight against “The Man” ?

Kane vs Umaga was more of the same from the PPV. Just “meh”. Flair vs Johnny Jeter didn’t have the rub element that I assume the so-called "Creative” were hoping for by pairing up the Squad youngster with Naitch. Despite delivering the line of the night to Chris Masters about his discussion with Orton only concerning “people who matter”, Johnny Nitro should not be allowed near a mic. He sounded bad Indy level at best in his delivery although his material was lame to begin with. The IC match itself managed to build into something quite fun once the wrestlers were allowed to cut loose. To be honest, at this point Nitro retaining was probably the right call.

Why wasn’t the guy in that Cryme Tyme video wearing a seatbelt or have his car door locked? And are they babyfaces or heels?

Okay, whose bright idea was it to give Lita vs Candice five and half minutes match time? Seriously, this was awful and it seemed as though Lita thought she had fulfilled her work rate quota for the year against Trish at the PPV because she was just sleepwalking through this. And Mickie is a face now? And she has forgotten that she hates Trish and is back to loving her again? And where’s Victoria?

The main event was a dull affair and didn’t have the gravities that I’m sure they wanted it to have. I applaud them for trying to bring in new faces to the main event feuds but Cade & Murdoch just aren’t the right guys to suddenly come from nowhere to main event. They seemed so incongruous out there. And could DX and Cena have been any distant from one another? Especially HHH who I don’t think even acknowledged Cena’s presence at all. The crowd didn’t care either way anyway, so this was another failed experiment.

Despite starting to move forward in the undercard, nothing else was new coming off the PPV in the main event picture so RAW is really back to its treading water stages again for me…

Man was Cena not at all over in Canada. I liked how Edge heeled Montréal, it cracked me up. Edge reminds me of Terry Funk in the way that he could have a crowd love him one second, and then hate him the next. Is this the start of Coach being temporary G.M until Vince is back? So Shelton is using the discrimination angle now, I wont judge into I see how it plays out. I'm a fan of the Sprit Squad, I hope they don't split them up. It looks like Smackdown is getting pushed a lot, I even saw it being pushed on the Met game earlier. Raw has really build up a good IC title / Mid card roster. I enjoyed the 6 man, as each participant gave it their all. The main event was cool.
