One of the more controversial rules in all of professional MMA is going by the wayside this November as the Association Of Boxing Commissions (ABC) has lifted the ban of the 12-6 elbow strikes, with that ban being lifted on November 1.
The ban, which has been in effect since 2000, was part of the original unified rules of MMA rule set.
Individual athletic commissions will have to decide whether or not they will adhere to the rule ban or if they will continue banning the controversial elbow strikes.
