A welterweight division attraction has been added to UFC 308 according to Alex Behunin as Rinat Fakhretdinov faces Nursultan Ruziboev.
Fakhretdinov (22-1-1) has won four of five under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Andreas Michailidis, Bryan Battle, Kevin Lee and Nicolas Dalby. Fakhretdinov has a single blemish in the UFC and that was a majority draw against Elizeu Zaleski Dos Santos at UFC Fight Night 231. Fakhretdinov has competed 24 times as a professional MMA fighter and just six of those bouts went the distance.
Ruziboev (34-9-2-2NC) has won two of three in the UFC, with those wins coming over Brunno Ferreira and Sedriques Dumas. Ruziboev is competing for the third time in 2024, making it his most active year as a pro MMA fighter since 2021. Ruziboev is competing at his first UFC pay-per-view event, despite having been with the promotion for over a year.
UFC 308 takes place on Saturday, October 26 from a location to be announced in Abu Dhabi with a main event to be announced. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+ pay-per-view.
