UFC Interim Heavyweight Champion Tom Aspinall defends the gold against Curtis Blaydes this Saturday Night in the co-main event of UFC 304.
The winner of that fight will not only leave as the interim champion, but UFC CEO Dana White confirmed that the winner will face the winner of the upcoming title fight between UFC Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones and former UFC Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic.
“Absolutely,” White said at Thursday’s UFC 304 pre-fight press conference (transcript via Mike Heck of MMA Fighting).
Jones and Miocic are expected to fight this November, but nothing has been made official at this time.
