A flyweight division attraction has been added to the October 12 UFC Fight Night card according to Leo Guimaraes as Lucas Rocha faces Clayton Carpenter.
Rocha (17-1-0) is making his UFC debut in this encounter and does so on the strength of a six fight winning streak. Rocha competed on Dana White’s Contender Series, defeating Davi Bittencourt by second round knockout during the 2023 season. Rocha has suffered a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came to Alan Gabriel Dos Santos at Future FC 9 in October of 2019.
Carpenter (7-0-0) has already earned a victory under the UFC banner and that came over Juancamilo Ronderos at UFC Fight Night 219. Carpenter also competed on Dana White’s Contender Series, defeating Edgar Chairez during the 2022 season. Carpenter is still undefeated as a professional MMA fighter and that streak has lasted almost five years.
UFC Fight Night is scheduled for Saturday, October 12 from a location to be announced and with a main event to be announced. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast details have yet to be revealed.
