UFC Noche is set for Saturday, September 6 from The Sphere in Las Vegas, Nevada with Sean O’Malley defending the UFC Bantamweight Title against Sean O’Malley in the main event.
Canelo Alvarez will be facing Edgar Berlanga on the same night, with that bout happening at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
UFC CEO Dana White isn’t very happy with those at the MGM for booking the big boxing fight opposite of UFC Noche.
“Canelo’s one of those guys that I respect and, hey, good on [Al] Haymon,” White said to ESPN (transcript via Mike Heck of MMA Fighting). “Haymon snatched the date right away from me. The guys at MGM have done nothing but f*cking disrespect me and the UFC for 20 years. It is what it is. Here we go.”
