And New…LT “Smash” Nelson hands Barrie Jones first bare knuckle defeat; wins BYB Police Gazette Super Middleweight title by third-round KO

Nelson adds PG belt to his BYB Middleweight and Super Middleweight championships as much-anticipated BYB 30 main event between two of the best bare knuckle fighters ever lives up to hype.

On Saturday, August 17, BYB Extreme Bare Knuckle made its Wales debut at the Vale Sports Arena for BYB 30 Cardiff Brawl. It was the first European show since BYB's acquisition of the UK-based BKB this past Spring, and featured a number of local Welsh stars in front of a sold out and energized crowd.

In the main event, LT "Smash" Nelson defeated "The Welsh Wrecking Machine" Barrie Jones by 3rd round knockout. Coming into the fight, Jones boasted a perfect 10-0 (9 KOs) record. With the win, Nelson, currently a BYB 2-division champion (Middleweight and Super Middleweight), took home Jones' BYB Police Gazette World Middleweight title, and cemented himself as one the best fighters in all of combat sports.

In other action, after getting stunned and knocked down early in his bare knuckle debut, UFC veteran Jack Marshman came back to knockout Carl Craig in round 1.

Joe Fitzpatrick spoiled Jonny Jones’ return to the Trigon in an exciting welterweight match that ended by TKO at the end of the first.

Gareth Williams overwhelmed Nathan Massey with multiple first round knockdowns before his corner threw in the towel at 1:48.

Volodymyr Skurtu withstood early artillery from Dorian Darch to win by doctor’s stoppage at 1:35 after splitting his ear.

Martin Reffell picks up his first win in the Trigon with first round KO over Ryan McCann.

Martin McDonough caught Corey Healey at the very end of the first round to score a KO as the bell rang.

Big men Dan Matthews and Tony Barratt came out swinging hard with Matthews coming out on top by KO at :47 of the opening round.

Troy Palmer wins by first round KO in his bare knuckle debut.

Paul Hilz scored a 48-47 UD over Jonny Lawson in the opening bout of the historic first BYB Cardiff card.
