On Sunday, November 17th, PROGRESS Wrestling returns to the O2 Ritz Manchester for Chapter 173: Stay Young & Invincible, with a stacked card packed with first time matches, historic bouts and a unique Proteus Championship stipulation reveal from the host Simon Miller. Here’s what fans can look forward to:
Boisterous Behaviour vs. Young Guns
Two of the most exciting young teams in British wrestling collide as Boisterous Behaviour (Man Like Dereiss & Leon Slater) take on Young Guns (Ethan Allen & Luke Jacobs). This match promises a blend of hard-hitting action and relentless energy as both teams look to make a statement after the Young Guns screwed MLD out of his championship shot at the last chapter. With Jacobs returning to his hometown of Manchester, the stakes are high for the Young Guns to secure victory on familiar ground.
Subculture vs. Smokin' Aces
Tag team gold is on the line as Subculture (Flash Morgan Webster & Mark Andrews) challenge reigning champions Smokin' Aces (Charlie Sterling & Nick Riley). Former NXT UK and TNA Tag Champions Subculture made their PROGRESS debut as a tag tteam at the last chapter and after a victory over Tate Mayfairs and Eddie Dennis, they look to add PROGRESS gold to their impressive trophy haul.
Myles Kayman vs. Connor Mills
This singles bout sees Myles Kayman face off against Connor Mills. Both men have been climbing the ranks in the European scene, with both picking up big wins outside of PROGRESS, and this match could set the tone for their future in the promotion. Expect a physical, technical contest between two wrestlers looking to prove they belong at the top.
Cara Noir vs. Charli Evans
In a historic first-time intergender singles match for PROGRESS, Cara Noir takes on Charli Evans in an intergender bout that will test both competitors’ grit and versatility. Evans returns to the promotion for the first time in almost three years, whilst Cara Noir looks to bounce back from his controversial loss to KENTA at the last chapter.
Lykos Gym vs. Trew & Lacey
After their successful tour of the USA last month, Lykos Gym bring their fast-paced tag team expertise against the team of Trew & Lacey. Known for their quick-strike offence, Lykos Gym will look to outwit their opponents, while Trew & Lacey aim to showcase their own chemistry - whilst at the same time getting under the skin of the Northern PROGRESS crowd!
MothDog (Gene Munny & Session Moth Martina) vs. The Experience (LA Taylor & Skye Smitson)
Fans are in for a fun, unpredictable tag match as MothDog (Gene Munny & Session Moth Martina) square off with The Experience (LA Taylor & Skye Smitson). MothDog’s antics and charisma meet the strength and tenacity of The Experience in what’s sure to be a lively encounter but which team will come out on top?
Natalie Sykes vs. Emersyn Jayne
In her PROGRESS debut, Natalie Sykes takes on Emersyn Jayne in a match that will showcase the depth of talent in the PROGRESS women’s division. Sykes will be eager to make an impression, but Jayne’s experience an willingness to hurt her own body to further hurt her opponent could give her the edge.
Proteus Champion Simon Miller Reveals New Stipulation
The event will be hosted by Simon Miller, who recently captured the Proteus Championship. Known for its unique stipulations, Miller will unveil the next twist for his title defences, adding an extra layer of excitement to the show and his championship reign.
