Before WWE became a global phenomenon, they promoted their events locally in the Tri-State area in the early to mid 1980s. Many of these events were held in High School gymnasiums throughout the State of New Jersey. One of their stops was West Milford High School, home of ISPW’s Thanksgiving Thunder this coming Saturday night.
From 1983 through 1985, WWF promoted several events at West Milford High School that included Hulk Hogan, Andre The Giant, Junkyard Dog, Iron Sheik, The Wild Samoans, Tony Atlas, Greg Valentine, Rocky Johnson, and more.
Pro Wrestling returns to this historic location this Saturday Night for Thanksgiving Thunder at 7PM featuring “The Phoenix” GKM defending the ISPW Heavyweight Title against “The Heavy Metal Hitman” Rick Recon in a Spin The Wheel Make The Deal Match, “The A Player” Anthony defending the ISPW Tri-State Title in a Dumpster Match against Mr. Joe Clean, Crowbar takes on Danny Maff in an Independent Wrestling Dream Rematch, Vicious Vicki defends the ISPW Women’s Title against Clara Carreras, The Now defend the ISPW Tag Team Titles against The Shot Callers, Steve Off challenges Alex Reiman for the Pro Wrestling Magic Title, and Yoscifer takes on Vargas in a Battle of The Big Men! Totowa Tom will also have a special live episode of On The Boulevard.
