Chapter 174 of PROGRESS Wrestling is officially in the books, and Luke Jacobs continues his reign as PROGRESS Men's World Champion after an incredible main event against Leon Slater.
The two battled for over 30 minutes, with Slater coming agonizingly close to making history as the youngest-ever PROGRESS World Champion. After connecting with his breathtaking Swanton 450 and seemingly having victory in his grasp, Jacobs used his champion's instinct to counter the pin attempt with a perfectly timed crucifix, securing the three-count in a match that had the Electric Ballroom on the edge of their seats.
The controversial finish left fans stunned and furious as Jacobs once again bested Boisterous Behaviour in a classic that will be remembered for years.
Elsewhere on the card, Trent Seven made his long-awaited return to PROGRESS Wrestling after a five-year absence, facing Ricky Knight Jr. in a hard-hitting clash. Despite falling short, Trent declared post-match that "This is PROGRESS, and Trent is PROGRESS," signaling his intent to stay and compete for more than just a one-off appearance.
Simon Miller also defended his Proteus Championship for the first time in a chaotic, unpredictable four-way match against the MothDog family - Gene Munny, Session Moth Martina, and Will Kroos. The wild encounter showcased outrageous antics and unforgettable moments, with Miller emerging victorious in a match that has to be seen to be believed.
