NEW JAPAN PRO WRESTLING WRESTLE KINGDOM 19 RECAP: 7 TITLE BOUTS, LIJ VS. LIJ, TANAHASHI FIGHTS FOR HIS CAREER & DOUKI SUFFERS A SERIOUS INJURY

Winner Earns A Future IWGP World Heavyweight Title Shot

The first two participants are #1 Great-O-Khan and #2 Josh Barnett, Great-O-Khan immediately tries to get Barnett down to start the match. Barnett gets up and Great-O-Khan pops up a short time later, Barnett gets Great-O-Khan with an arm drag. #3 is Boltin Oleg and he immediately goes after Barnett, Oleg scores an arm drag takedown on Barnett. Barnett gets up and he also scores a takedown on Oleg, Oleg looks for an arm bar and Barnett defends before getting attacked by Great-O-Khan. #4 is Hirooki Goto and he drops Oleg with a lariat before suplexing Great-O-Khan onto him, Barnett drops Goto before stomping away on Oleg. #5 is Yuji Nagata and he immediately goes to war with Barnett, Great-O-Khan sits on Goto to keep him trapped in the corner. #6 is Togi Makabe and he heads to the ring as Barnett and Oleg both stumble over the top rope while fighting for a double elimination, Makabe immediately attacks Great-O-Khan with a chain.

#7 is Kenta and he immediately gets into a striking exchange with Nagata, Kenta avoids the big boot from Nagata before dumping him to the ring apron and knocking him to the arena floor for an elimination. #8 is Yoshi-Hashi and he immediately trades strikes with Kenta, Great-O-Khan drops Makabe with a head kick in the corner. #9 is Yujiro Takahashi and he trips up Yoshi-Hashi before getting back into the ring, Takahashi and Kenta work together against Yoshi-Hashi. Yoshi-Hashi fights back before trying to eliminate Kenta, Takahashi helps his friend and he dumps Yoshi-Hashi out of the ring for an elimination. #10 is Toru Yano and he is immediately jumped by Kenta and Takahashi, Yano sends Takahashi into Kenta to knock him out of the ring for an elimination. Yano then rolls up Takahashi for a three count and an elimination, #11 is Hiroyoshi Tenzan and he attacks the Great-O-Khan.

#12 is Satoshi Kojima and he immediately works with Tenzan against Yano, Yano tries rolling Tenzan up and Kojima makes the save. Yano causes Tenzan to crash into Kojima before rolling him up for a three count and an elimination, #13 is Tomoaki Honma and he immediately gets into it with Yano. Honma goes for a kokeshi and Yano gets out of the way, #14 is Sanada and he gets jumped by Kojima as he entered the ring. Kojima traps Sanada in the corner before landing Machinegun Chops, Sanada shoves Makabe into Kojima before landing a low blow. Sanada hits Kojima with a low blow before eliminating him, #15 is Taichi and he battles Sanada on the arena floor. #16 is Tomohiro Ishii and he is immediately jumped by Great-O-Khan, Honma drops Ishii with a clothesline before landing a kokeshi. #17 is Alex Zayne and Ishii hits Honma with a brain buster during his entrance for a three count and an elimination, Sanada misses a low blow before getting Taichi DQ’ed for allegedly landing a low blow of his own. Taichi attacks Sanada and knocks him out of the ring for an elimination, Makabe was also eliminated during some of the action.

Yano tries attacking Zayne with the turnbuckle pad and Zayne dumps him out of the ring for an elimination, Great-O-Khan gets Ishii to the ring apron before also getting Zayne to the ring apron. Ishii and Zayne trade strikes until Great-O-Khan eliminates Ishii, Zayne gets back in the ring before battling Goto and Great-O-Khan. Zayne goes back to the ring apron and Great-O-Khan knocks him to the arena floor for an elimination, Great-O-Khan then drops Goto with an arm drag. Great-O-Khan nails Goto with a big boot for a near fall, Great-O-Khan stands Goto up while landing some Mongolian Chops. Great-O-Khan misses a clotheslines and Goto hits him with a GTO before getting him to the ring apron, Great-O-Khan tries suplexing Goto out of the ring and Goto defends before knocking him to the arena floor for the final elimination.

Winner: Hirooki Goto

IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship
Tokyo Terror Ladder Match
The Intergalactic Jet Setters (Kevin Knight & Kushida) (c) vs. Ichiban Sweet Boys (Kosei Fujita & Robbie Eagles) vs. Catch 22 (Francesco Akira & TJP) vs. Bullet Club War Dogs (Drilla Maloney & Clark Connors)

The match begins with an all out brawl between everybody involved in the match, Knight quickly clears the ring after landing a top rope dive onto a bunch of competitors. Fujita and Eagles bring a ladder into the rope, Kushida drops them and Knight lands a splash on top of the ladder to crush them. TJP and Akira take out Knight and Kushida with ladder shots followed by chair shots, Connors gets a ladder and he nails Catch 22 with it. Connors and Maloney nail Akira with a high/low while using steel chairs, Connors and Kushida climb a ladder and Kushida knocks them both over. Kushida uses a bunch of kicks to keep all the competitors from entering the ring again, Knight goes to the top rope and Connors shoves him off. Connors grabs a steel chair and he levels Knight with it, Maloney nails Kushida with a Drilla Killa on the arena floor. Akira gets up and he is double teamed by Connors and Maloney on the arena floor, TJP returns and he helps his teammate before placing Maloney on a table.

TJP picks up Akira and he drops him on top of Maloney to put him through a table, some of the competitors return to the ring and they take turns taking each other out. Knight sets up a ladder bridge before being attacked by Connors, Knight traps Connors on the ladder bridge before Eagles crushing him with a springboard 450 splash. Knight climbs a ladder and Fujita takes him down, Fujita climbs a ladder and Akira climbs the other side before trading strikes. TJP gets Fujita off the ladder before Akira helps nail Fujita with a super cutter, Eagles and TJP battle on the ladders until TJP mists Eagles. TJP then nails Eagles with a super reverse DDT through the ladder bridge, Kushida gets someone on his shoulders and Knight knocks them off with a drop kick. Knight climbs a ladder while Kushida hits Maloney with a flat liner into the turnbuckle pad, Connors returns and Kushida sends him into the ladder. Kushida and Knight then hits Maloney with the Perfect Timing from the top of the ladder, Kushida climbs the ladder and Fujita gets him off.

Fujita climbs the ladder and Kushida follows him up there before applying an ankle lock, Kushida gets Fujita off the ladder and Eagles gets him in an ankle lock until Knight breaks it up. Knight climbs the ladder and Maloney knocks him off, Maloney climbs the ladder and TJP meets him up there before trading strikes with him. TJP knocks Maloney off the ladder and Eagles meets him up there next, Fujita and Akira climb another ladder to instigate a four way striking exchange. TJP and Fujita are eventually knocked off the ladders, Fujita gets Akira in a dragon sleeper on the top of the ladder before grabbing the belts to win the match.

IWGP Women’s Championship
Mayu Iwatani (c) vs. AZM

The match begins with AZM and Iwatani immediately getting into a striking exchange until AZM goes down, AZM trips up Iwatani before landing a penalty kick followed by a basement drop kick. Iwatani leaves the ring and AZM hits him with a dive from the top rope, AZM gets Iwatani back in the ring and she gets her down again before applying the arm bar to her. Iwatani gets free and she avoids a charging AZM before landing a basement drop kick, Iwatani traps AZM in the ropes before landing another drop kick. Iwatani goes to the top rope and she lands a frog splash on AZM for a near fall, Iwatani looks for a German suplex and Azm escapes before eating a super kick. Iwatani goes to the top rope and AZM trips her up before landing a top rope double stomp, AZM goes back to the top rope before landing another top rope double stomp for a near fall. Iwatani fights back before exchanging head kicks with AZM, Iwatani gets up and she nails AZM with a running boot to the head.

Iwatani goes to the top rope and she hits AZM with a missile drop kick, Iwatani goes back to the top rope and she misses a moonsault attempt. AZM then nails a downed Iwatani with a head kick, AZM goes for a destroyer and Iwatani avoids it before AZM lands it on the second attempt. AZM then hits Iwatani with a double underhook destroyer for a near fall, AZM goes back to the top rope and Iwatani gets her feet up as AZM leaps off. AZM gets up first and she catches Iwatani in a roll up for a near fall, AZM then hits Iwatani with a German suplex for a near fall. Iwatani fights back and she hits AZM with a German suplex for a near fall, Iwatani goes for another German suplex and AZM counters with a roll up for a near fall. Iwatani grabs a charging AZM and she hits her with a tombstone piledriver, Iwatani goes back to the top rope and she lands a moonsault for a near fall. Iwatani follows up with a dragon suplex on AZM for a three count.

Winner: Mayu Iwatani, still your IWGP Women’s Champion

NJPW World TV Title
Fatal 4 Way Match
Ren Narita (c) vs. El Phantasmo vs. Ryohei Oiwa vs. Jeff Cobb

The match begins with Narita leaving the ring before Phantasmo nails him with a suicide dive, Cobb and Oiwa go to battle inside the ring. Oiwa and Cobb exchange shoulder tackles before Phantasmo returns to the ring and is immediately dropped, Phantasmo misses an avalanche attempt and Oiwa tosses him across the ring. Cobb then hits Phantasmo with a toss suplex, Oiwa then drops Cobb with a shoulder tackle. Oiwa gets Cobb down again before working over his arm, Narita gets back in the ring and he attacks Oiwa. Phantasmo returns to the ring and Narita also chokes him, Cobb goes after Narita and Narita also chokes him. Narita goes for a knee bar and Cobb and Oiwa breaks it up after landing a splash, Oiwa catches Narita in a sleeper hold and he then dumps him out of the ring. Phantasmo returns and he knocks Oiwa out of the ring with a drop kick, Cobb returns and he nearly catches Phantasmo in a Tour Of The Islands before getting rolled up for a near fall.

Phantasmo goes for another dive and he wipes out everybody but Cobb, Cobb then takes everybody out with a dive of his own. Cobb gets Narita back in the ring before landing a Hammer & Sickle for a near fall, Cobb then hits Narita with a standing moonsault for a near fall. Oiwa returns and he drop kicks Cobb into Narita before landing a suplex on Cobb for a near fall, Narita goes to the top rope and Phantasmo kicks him in the head. Phantasmo goes to the top rope and Oiwa follows him up there, Cobb gets Oiwa off the ropes alongside Phantasmo with a Tower Of Doom. Narita returns and he nails Cobb with Hell’s Guillotine for a near fall, Narita tries pinning his other opponents for some near falls. Narita gets angry and he knocks the referee out of the ring, Narita leaves the ring and he goes for a weapon before Jado takes it away from him. Narita gets surrounded and attacked by all of his opponents, Oiwa gets into a three way striking exchange with Phantasmo and Cobb. Phantasmo eventually drops Oiwa with Sudden Death, Cobb catches a leaping Phantasmo before landing an F-5000 for a near fall.

Oiwa returns and he tries picking up Cobb in a gut wrench suplex before dropping him with a right, Oiwa then hits Cobb with a Doctor Bomb for a near fall. Narita takes the ref out again before attacking Oiwa with a board, Cobb blocks Narita’s board strike before breaking the board. Narita then hits Cobb with a low blow, Cobb manages to hit Narita with a Tour Of The Islands for a near fall. Phantasmo then hits Oiwa with a suicide dive before landing Thunder Kiss ’66 on Narita for a three count.

Winner: El Phantasmo, your new NJPW World TV Champion

Hiroshi Tanahashi Final Road
Lumberjack Death Match
Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Evil

The match begins with Ren Narita interfering so Evil can get control over Tanahashi, Tanahashi gets free from Evil and he gets him in a headlock. Tanahashi and Evil both pull each other’s hair and the ref breaks it up, Tanahashi nails a charging Evil with a back elbow strike followed by a middle rope cross body block. Evil leaves the ring and his lumberjacks give him a place to rest, Tanahashi gets distracted by Yoshinobu Kanemaru and Evil attacks him from behind. Tanahashi gets trapped in the ropes while Evil nails him with a dragon screw leg whip, Tanahashi falls out of the ring and that instigates a brawl between all the lumberjacks. Evil grabs Tanahashi and he sends him right into the ring post, Evil grabs a steel chair and he places it around the head of Tanahashi before hitting him with another chair. Evil gets a can of spray paint and he uses it to paint the body of Master Wato, Tanahashi is thrown back in the ring and Evil chokes him with a chain.

Evil then sends Tanahashi into the exposed corner before landing a fisherman buster suplex for a near fall, Tanahashi fights back and Evil goes after his eyes. Tanahashi recovers and he nails Evil with a dragon screw leg whip, Tanahashi gets Evil up before landing a few strikes. Tanahashi drops Evil after knocking all the interfering lumberjacks to the arena floor, Tanahashi then hits Evil with a slam followed by a middle rope senton for a near fall. Evil leaves the ring and that leads to Boltin Oleg getting him back in the ring, Evil recovers and he rakes the eyes of Tanahashi. Tanahashi goes for a German suplex and Evil prevents it by grabbing the ref, the ref gets angry and that allows Tanahashi to hit a distracted Evil with a Twist & Shout. Tanahashi accidentally takes out the referee and that leads to Evil’s lumberjacks attacking Tanahashi, Dick Togo nails Tanahashi with a Pipe Cut before choking him.

Tanahashi’s lumberjacks hit the ring and another brawl breaks out between everybody, Wato takes a bunch of people out with a suicide dive to end the brawl. Tanahashi misses a charge and he crashes into the exposed corner, Evil then attacks Tanahashi with some lariats and he drops Tanahashi with the third one for a near fall. Evil goes for Everything Is Evil and Tanahashi counters with his own version, Tanahashi then hits Evil with a release dragon suplex and a sling blade for a near fall. Tanahashi goes to the top rope and he nails Evil with a High Fly Flow, Tanahashi returns to the top rope and Evil knocks the ref in the ropes to crotch him. Togo returns and he throws salt into the eyes of Tanahashi, Evil climbs the ropes and he drops Tanahashi with a superplex. Evil then hits Tanahashi with Darkness Falls for a near fall, Evil keeps Tanahashi down while getting him in a sharpshooter. Evil releases the hold before arguing with the referee, Evil stands up Tanahashi before leveling him with a lariat.

Evil gets Tanahashi up again before landing Everything Is Evil, Tanahashi shocks Evil with a roll up from out of nowhere for a three count.

Winner: Hiroshi Tanahashi

After the match, the House Of Torture lumberjacks attack Hiroshi Tanahashi before Katsuhiro Shibata makes the save. Shibata gets a microphone and he challenges him to a match at Wrestle Dynasty, Tanahashi gets the microphone and he accepts before shaking hands with Shibata.

AEW International Championship
Shingo Takagi (NEVER) vs. Konosuke Takeshita (AEW) w/Don Callis

The match begins with Takeshita and Takagi exchanging shoulder block attempts, Takeshita ends the exchange by kicking Takagi in the head. Takeshita follows up by dropping Takagi with a leaping clothesline, Takeshita misses a charge in the corner and Takagi drops him with a hip toss followed by a shoulder tackle. Takeshita gets up and he immediately gets into a striking exchange with Takagi, Takeshita drops Takagi with a forearm strike. Takeshita goes to the middle rope before landing a senton on Takagi for a near fall, Takeshita keeps Takagi down while applying a chin lock to him. Takagi gets free and Takeshita drops him with a rana that sends him out of the ring, Takeshita sets up for a dive and Takagi gets out of the way. Takagi drags Takeshita out of the ring before hitting him with a death valley driver on the arena floor, Takagi gets Takeshita back in the ring before cornering him and landing some strikes.

Takagi places Takeshita on the top rope and he follows him up there before landing a superplex, Takagi then hits Takeshita with a sliding lariat for a near fall. Takeshita fights back and Takagi drops him with a lariat, Takagi goes for Made In Japan and Takeshita avoids it before landing a release German suplex. Takagi pops back up and he hits Takeshita with a back drop driver, Takeshita pops back up and he nails Takagi with another release German suplex before both stay down. Takeshita and Takagi get up before exchanging lariat attempts, Takeshita and Takagi also get into another striking exchange. Takeshita then drops a charging Takagi with a lariat followed by a basket driver, Takeshita then hits Takagi with a wheelbarrow slam. Takagi recovers and he nails a charging Takeshita with a lariat, Takagi follows up by hitting Takeshita with Made In Japan for a near fall. Takagi looks for the Pumping Bomber and Takeshita nails him with a knee strike, Takeshita gets Takagi on the top rope and he follows him up there.

Takeshita drops Takagi with a super rana followed by a knee strike for a near fall, Takeshita follows up with a blue thunder bomb on Takagi for another near fall. Takagi fights back and he nails Takeshita with a Last Of The Dragon, Takagi stands Takeshita up before attacking him with lariats. Takeshita fights back and he nails Takagi with a poison rana, Takagi gets up and he nails Takeshita with a poison rana of his own before eating a forearm strike to the back of the head. Takagi gets up and Takeshita nails him with a few strikes, Takagi fights back and Takeshita nails him with a knee strike before eating a lariat. Takeshita recovers and he levels Takagi with a forearm strike for a near fall, Takeshita then hits Takagi with a falcon arrow for a three count.

Winner: Konosuke Takeshita (AEW) w/Don Callis, still your AEW International Champion & your new NEVER Openweight Champion

IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship
Douki (c) vs. El Desperado

The match begins with Douki sending Desperado out of the ring with a head scissors takedown, Douki keeps Desperado out of the ring before landing a suicide dive. Desperado fights back and he sends Douki into the barricade before landing his own suicide dive, Desperado stands Douki up again before sending him back into the barricade a few times. Douki and Desperado have a striking exchange on the arena floor before both get back into the ring, Desperado then drops Douki with a back suplex. Douki fights back and he eventually drops Desperado with an enziguri, Desperado recovers and he hits Douki with a spine buster. Douki goes for the Douki Choke and Desperado counters into a cloverleaf, Douki gets to the ropes to break the submission attempt from Desperado. Douki gets to the ring apron and Desperado catches him when he leaps back in the ring, Douki gets free and he sends Desperado out of the ring before landing a dive that sends them both crashing into the barricade.

The referee calls for the bell because Douki suffered a serious elbow injury during the suicide dive attempt.

Winner: El Desperado, your new IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion

After the match, El Desperado gets the microphone and he talks about the unfortunate injury suffered by Douki. Desperado says he will not apologize or say sorry for what happened to Douki, Desperado says he will battle Douki again.

IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship
David Finlay (c) vs. Yota Tsuji

The match begins with Finlay trapping Tsuji in the corner while grinding his face, Tsuji gets free after cracking Finlay with a few strikes. Finlay fights back and Tsuji knocks him into the corner, Tsuji drops Finlay in the corner before landing a modified curb stomp. Tsuji then nails a charging Finlay with a tilt-a-whirl back breaker, Finlay leaves the ring before getting attacked with a Tsuji suicide dive. Finlay catches the leaping Tsuji before sending him into the barricade a few times, Finlay gets Tsuji back in the ring before getting a near fall on a pin attempt. Finlay picks up Tsuji before dropping him with a back breaker for a near fall, Finlay mounts a downed Finlay while landing strikes. Tsuji fights back and he nails Finlay with a back breaker followed by a curb stomp, Tsuji stands Finlay up before cracking him with a shoulder tackle followed by a splash for a near fall.

Tsuji then traps Finlay in the corner before landing an avalanche followed by a rana, Finlay is sent out of the ring and Tsuji takes him out of the ring with a suicide dive. Tsuji gets Finlay back in the ring before trying to land a suplex, Finlay blocks the attempt and he cracks Tsuji with a few strikes. Tsuji fights back and Finlay clotheslines them both out of the ring, Finlay picks up Tsuji and he sends him face first into the ring post. Finlay drags Tsuji to the media area before putting him through a table, Tsuji eventually makes it back into the ring and Finlay just tosses him across the ring. Tsuji recovers and he nails Finlay with a suplex into the turnbuckle, Tsuji gets Finlay on the top rope and he follows him up there. Finlay shoves Tsuji off the ropes and Tsuji responds by landing an enziguri, Tsuji returns to the ropes and Finlay nails him with a super power bomb for a near fall.

Finlay follows up by hitting Tsuji with multiple dominators for a near fall, Finlay picks up Tsuji and Tsuji immediately collapses. Tsuji shocks Finlay with a small package for a near fall, Finlay stands up Tsuji again before landing multiple clotheslines. Tsuji recovers and he nails Finlay with two straight knee strikes for another near fall, Tsuji goes to the top rope and he misses his leap off. Finlay then nails Tsuji with a power bomb followed by a buckle bomb, Finlay follows up with another power bomb for a near fall. Finlay looks for another power bomb and Tsuji counters with a rana, Tsuji then hits Finlay with a knee strike followed by the Marlowe Crash for a near fall. Tsuji charges at Finlay and Finlay nails him with a Stun Gun followed by a modified back breaker for a near fall, Finlay sets up for a suplex and Tsuji gets free before eating a spear. Tsuji escapes another suplex to hit Finlay with a stunner followed by a spear for a near fall, Tsuji stands Finlay up before leveling him with forearm strikes.

Finlay goes down and Tsuji immediately nails him with a curb stomp, Tsuji goes for a Gene Blaster and Finlay counters with Overkill for a near fall. Finlay goes for Overkill again and Tsuji counters with a head kick followed by a power bomb, Tsuji then hits Finlay with the Gene Blaster for a three count.

Winner: Yota Tsuji, your new IWGP Global Heavyweight Champion

Tetsuya Naito vs. Hiromu Takahashi

The match begins with some chain wrestling between Takahashi and Naito, Takahashi misses a basement drop kick and Naito lands one of his own. Takahashi leaves the ring and Naito follows him out there before landing some strikes, Naito gets Takahashi back in the ring and he gets him in a kravat. Takahashi gets free and Naito nails him with an atomic drop, Naito gets Takahashi down before getting him in a modified head scissors. Takahashi gets to the ropes to break the submission attempt, Naito stands over Takahashi while stomping away on him. Takahashi gets up and he nails Naito with a few strikes, Takahashi nails Naito with a corner clothesline before landing a basement drop kick for a near fall. Naito escapes the grasp of Takahashi before landing a clothesline followed by a basement drop kick, Naito sends Takahashi into the corner before landing a clothesline followed by a neck breaker.

Takahashi fights back and he gets Naito on the ring apron before landing a super kick, Takahashi follows up by nailing Naito with a sunset bomb on the arena floor. Takahashi gets Naito back in the ring before landing a death valley driver for a near fall, Takahashi picks up Naito again and Naito catches him in a roll up for a near fall. Takahashi recovers and he nails Naito with a release German suplex, Naito gets up and Takahashi drops him with a clothesline. Takahashi follows up with a Time Bomb on Naito for a near fall, Naito fights back and he looks for a tornado DDT before Takahashi counters with a pinning combo for a near fall. Takahashi stands Naito up before landing a super kick followed by a lariat, Takahashi looks for a reverse DDT and Naito counters with Destino. Naito follows up with several elbow strikes to the head of Takahashi, Naito then drops Takahashi with an angel dust attempt on Takahashi.

Naito follows up by hitting Takahashi with another Destino for a near fall, Naito goes for another Destino and Takahashi counters with a Time Bomb for a near fall. Takahashi looks for another Time Bomb and Naito defends before landing some elbow strikes, Naito then hits Takahashi with an enziguri. Naito goes for Destino again and Takahashi counters with a roll up followed by a shotgun drop kick, Takahashi then hits Naito with a Destino. Takahashi follows up by hitting Naito with Time Bomb #2 for a near fall, Takahashi looks for Time Bomb #2 again and Naito counters with a knee strike. Naito then nails Takahashi with a spine buster followed by Destino for a near fall, Naito goes towards the top rope and Takahashi grabs his feet. Naito picks up Takahashi and he nails him with a brain buster followed by another Destino for a three count.

Winner: Tetsuya Naito

IWGP World Heavyweight Championship
Zack Sabre Jr. (c) vs. Shota Umino

The match begins with some grappling between Sabre Jr and Umino, Sabre Jr gets Umino a kravat and Umino gets free before going after his arm. Umino briefly gets Sabre Jr down while still going after the arm, Sabre Jr traps the hand of Umino before pulling back on both of his arms. Umino gets free and he pulls back on the arms of Sabre Jr, Umino then tries holding Sabre Jr in a full nelson. Sabre Jr gets free and both competitors miss a bunch of their moves, Umino gets Sabre Jr down before landing a basement drop kick. Umino starts focusing his attack on the neck of Sabre Jr, Umino traps Sabre Jr in the corner while landing elbow strikes. Umino goes for a kravat and he gets it on Sabre Jr, Umino releases the hold before landing strikes to the injured neck of Sabre Jr. Umino gets Sabre Jr down before landing more elbow strikes, Sabre Jr escapes a throw from Umino before sending him shoulder first into the mat below.

Sabre Jr starts cracking the fingers on the injured arm of Umino, Sabre Jr traps the arm of Umino in the ropes while stretching it out. Sabre Jr bends the arm of a downed Umino before stomping on it, Sabre Jr keeps Umino grounded while attacking him with a bunch of kicks. Umino gets back up and he takes a few swings at Sabre Jr before Sabre Jr again attacks his injured arm, Sabre Jr then nails Umino with some European uppercuts. Umino tries fighting back and Sabre Jr gets him in an abdominal stretch, Sabre Jr releases the hold and he lands a kick before eating a drop kick from Umino. Umino traps Sabre Jr in the corner while landing a few strikes, Umino then hits Sabre Jr with a running European uppercut followed by a fisherman suplex for a near fall. Sabre Jr recovers and he nails the injured arm of Umino with an overhead kick, Umino traps Sabre Jr in the ropes before landing a slingshot DDT on the hardest part of the ring.

Umino keeps Sabre Jr out of the ring before sending him into the barricade, Sabre Jr fights back and Umino drops him with a shotgun drop kick. Umino spikes Sabre Jr with a draping DDT on the arena floor, Umino gets Sabre Jr back in the ring before landing a missile drop kick. Umino follows up with an elevated reverse DDT for a near fall, Umino misses a European uppercut and Sabre Jr twists his neck before landing a basement drop kick. Umino gets to a seated position and Sabre Jr nails him with kicks to the back for a near fall, Umino gets back up while Sabre Jr attacks him with some more kicks. Umino gets into a striking exchange with Sabre Jr and Sabre Jr ends that exchange by attempting a flying arm bar on Umino, Sabre Jr transitions to a Fujiwara arm bar against Umino. Sabre Jr transitions to a modified Rings Of Saturn and then into a triangle choke against Umino, Umino powers his way to freedom before landing a leaping European uppercut against Sabre Jr.

Sabre Jr avoids a strike from Umino before nailing him with a release German suplex followed by a lariat, Sabre Jr goes for the Zack Driver and Umino counters with a reverse Twist & Shout. Sabre Jr and Umino get into another striking exchange in the middle of the ring, Sabre Jr eventually goes down multiple times and Umino nails him with an exploder suplex. Sabre Jr eats a drop kick before nailing Umino with a penalty kick, Umino recovers and he nails Sabre Jr with a tornado DDT. Umino looks for a Death Rider and Sabre Jr counters with a Zack Driver for a near fall, Sabre Jr goes for a Gotch style piledriver and Umino defends before landing a package DDT for a near fall. Umino then hits Sabre Jr with Ignition followed by a Death Rider for another near fall, Umino goes for another Death Rider and Sabre Jr counters by snapping his injured ankle. Sabre Jr follows up by getting Umino in a knee bar, Sabre Jr transitions into an inverted figure four leg lock and Umino somehow gets to the ropes to break it up.

Sabre Jr stands over Umino while stomping away on his injured leg, Umino gets up and he gets into another striking exchange with Sabre Jr. Sabre Jr ends the exchange by dropping Umino with a head kick, Sabre Jr misses a charge in the corner and Umino nails Sabre Jr with a tornado DDT. Umino then hits Sabre Jr with a running knee strike to the back of the head, Umino places Sabre Jr on the top rope and his leg gives out on him before he can climb the ropes. Sabre Jr then applies the hanging guillotine choke to Umino, Sabre Jr looks for a super Zack Driver and Umino defends before landing a headbutt. Umino goes back up the ropes and he nails Sabre Jr with a super butterfly suplex, Umino traps Sabre Jr under the ropes while stomping on his head. Umino shoves the ref away from him as the ref tried breaking everything up, Umino stands Sabre Jr up while nailing him with more strikes. Sabre Jr fights back and he kicks away at the injured leg of Umino, Umino traps the arms of Sabre Jr while stomping away on his head.

Sabre Jr gets up and he drops Umino with a strike before stomping away on him, Umino gets to his knees while eating kicks from Sabre Jr. Umino gets up and he has another striking exchange with Sabre Jr until Umino goes down, Umino avoids a kick from Sabre Jr to land an Emerald Fusion for a near fall. Umino then hits Sabre Jr with a running European uppercut for a near fall, Umino sets Sabre Jr up for a DDT and Sabre Jr counters with an ankle lock. Umino gets free before leveling Sabre Jr with a lariat, Umino’s injured leg gives out on him and Sabre Jr nails him with a Zack Driver for a near fall. Sabre Jr then hits Umino with a Gotch style piledriver, Sabre Jr then hits Umino with another Zack Driver for a three count.

Winner: Zack Sabre Jr., still your IWGP World Heavyweight Champion

After the match, Zack Sabre Jr. gets the microphone and he tells Shota Umino that they will meet again down the line. Sabre Jr. says he will win tomorrow night in the main event of Wrestle Dynasty, Sabre Jr. says 2025 is the year of TMDK.
