-King Booker has really carried the Smackdown brand as of late. His reaction to Undertaker facing him was priceless, I am really glad that Booker didn't retire two years ago when the rumors came about.
-The new entrance is cool, but I really had hoped that they would've changed that annoying song. Looking at the entrance I noticed that it looks like King Book would be champ for the foreseeable future , which is a good as him and the returning Benoit would have a great feud.
-The tag match to open the show was a good way to start the show. In my opinion Lashley looks way better than Batista in that ring.
-Matt and Helms had a good match.
-The Miz or Jimmy Yang, well I'll take Jimmy Yang cause of his ring work.
-The one thing that this horrible angle has is that its producing good matches with Chavo and Rey.
-My favorite spot of Smackdown so far was the Nike Football Commercial.
-JBL has been just horrible on the mic tonight.
-Great 3 way tag match.
-Batista, What's up with that hat you wore in the Philippines?
-So they have John Cena as Raw Champ and still using him to promote Smackdown, well its kind of smart to be honest.
-Taker and Book had a good match.
-I think Smackdown was the same as always with only a couple exceptions.

Overall I thought this was a very good start to Smackdown on the CW network. I have been watching SD for the past few weeks and I just thought this was the best show I have seen from this brand in some time – FOCUS would be the correct adjective because they set some interesting matches up for their next ppv. I will give this show a very solid 8.5 out of 10. We had some really good wrestling and the silliness was kept to a minimum. The crowd (as for RAW) was really great which helped make the show better as well. Not sure what the rating will be for this show – but this show was really good and if they keep putting on a show like this every week SD will do OK.
WHERE THE HELL IS CHRIS BENOIT? I thought he was coming back one of these days??!!
The opening segment was good and funny when Booker went from King to Booker T when he found out he had to wrestle the Undertaker.
I thought the opening tag match was very good. It helped further the Batista/Finlay feud and it started the show off with a bang. No little bastard stunk – but hey you can’t have everything I guess.
The Layla stuff was silly – they did a much better job last year when they had the divas picking on Ashley for a couple of weeks in a row and then had Trish (back from her injury) come out for the save. I believe that even set up a tag match at a ppv. Fast forward a year and this segment was done poorly – and you don’t even know who the faces/heels are.
Rey/Chavo – despite the offensive storyline these two can actually wrestle and I liked how Rey looked strong. The ending of this match was confusing – why did they stop it exactly? The could steal the show at No Mercy if they don’t ram the Eddie stuff down our throats.
I think Helms/Hardy has a chance to be a great feud – and they could have a really good match at No Mercy (if that is one of the matches). The only problem I see here is that Hardy is not a cruiserweight and there is no way he should be wrestling someone who is – especially for that championship.
The Miz is what he is – filler. As far as I am concerned he has zero cred as a wrestler until he is in the ring with someone good and puts on a good performance. Until then I can’t really judge he abilities.
The tag team titles match was really good. Lots of action and everyone had a chance to win. So SD is where all the good tag teams are – hopefully we will get to see a match for these guys at No Mercy. I enjoy the high flying stuff from Kendrick/London

Sylvan/Tatanka – can we just get the face change for Tatanka and move on already?
I didn’t like how Cena was treated by Teddy Long – like he was some kind of conquering hero. If you don’t want people to think SD is the B show then don’t treat the RAW champ like he is something special/better as compared to your own champ.
I thought the Undertaker looked really good in his match with Booker. This was a fun match - even though you knew the predicable ending was coming. Kennedy sounded silly being all “scared†and everything. Why didn’t he help Booker try and take out the dead man?

Not impressed at all. Been a long time since I've watched Smackdown and now I remember why. The Miz, should be removed from TV until he learn to make a kick and a chokehold look believable.
