CARA NOIR HEADING TO WRESTLEMANIA WEEKEND FOR PROGRESS WRESTLING

By Mike Johnson on 3/17/2025 7:15 AM

PROGRESS Wrestling has announced that the enigmatic 'Royal Black Swan' Cara Noir will make his sole WrestleMania week appearance at Chapter 179: PROGRESS Las Vegas on 17 April 2025. This exclusive opportunity to witness one of wrestling's most captivating performers is set to be a highlight of the event.

Cara Noir's journey in PROGRESS Wrestling is illustrious. He held the PROGRESS World Championship for a record-breaking 791 days, the longest reign in the title's history. His reign was characterised by intense rivalries with Spike Trivet and unforgettable matches against the likes of Swerve Strickland that solidified his status as a top-tier talent and icon of the promotion.

However, his momentum was halted by a severe foot injury during a steel cage match, sidelining him for over a year. His unannounced return in late 2024 at the Electric Ballroom was voted 'Shock of the Year' by fans, reigniting the magic and mystique that only he can bring.

Before gracing Las Vegas, Cara Noir is scheduled to face Trent Seven at Chapter 178: Fix Your Hearts on 30 March in Camden, but the worldwide fans heading to Wrestlemania weekend can see him at Chapter 179.

The rarely audible Cara Noir said “The beauty of British wrestling lies in its technicality,” “The Black Swan” told PWI. “Last time I was in the U.S., I faced one of my all-time favourite opponents in a match that embodied everything I love about the craft. This time, I’ll be bringing more of the same; but then again, it wouldn’t be a Cara Noir match without a streak of crazy. So in Vegas, expect the unexpected.”

Chapter 179 boasts a stacked card, featuring the best of British wrestling:

  • PROGRESS Men's World Championship: Luke Jacobs defends his title against Michael Oku.

  • PROGRESS Women's World Championship: Nina Samuels is set to defend her championship against Rhio.

  • Tag Team Match: In a first-time-ever match-up in PROGRESS, Boisterous Behaviour (Man Like DeReiss and Leon Slater) will clash with Lykos Gym (Kid Lykos and Kid Lykos II).
