Cage Fury Fighting Championships names John Morgan as General Manager

Former MMA Junkie Lead Staff Reporter joined CFFC team in 2019 and will maintain on-air role

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – Cage Fury Fighting Championships (CFFC) is proud to announce John Morgan as the new General Manager of the highly respected combat sports promotion, effective immediately.

Morgan has served as a commentator for CFFC's flagship MMA brand since 2019, as well as for FURY Professional Grappling, CFFC Match Day and CFFC Muay Thai. The former Fighters Only World MMA Awards "Journalist of the Year" and longtime Lead Staff Reporter for MMA Junkie and USA TODAY Sports has also featured more prominently in CFFC's operations off-camera in recent years, leading to his new position.

"John has become an important part of our broadcasts in his time with the CFFC team, but his willingness to take on responsibilities in behind-the-scenes roles has made him an even more valuable part of our organization," CFFC CEO Rob Haydak said. "John's history and reputation in the combat sports landscape is well documented, and I'm excited to be able to utilize his expertise in this expanded role as we continue to grow the CFFC brand and further strengthen our position in the industry."

In addition to his new responsibilities, Morgan will continue to be featured as a commentator for CFFC's MMA, submission grappling, collegiate wrestling and muay Thai brands.

CFFC's next live event, "CFFC 141: Schoenfelder vs. Guarascio," takes place Saturday, April 19, at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa.
