PAUL WALTER HAUSER TO COMPETE AT PROGRESS 179 IN LAS VEGAS

Hollywood Star Paul Walter Hauser Joins the PROGRESS Wrestling Proteus World Championship Scramble Match during WrestleMania Week In Las Vegas. 

In an unexpected announcement by Saved by the Bell star Mario Lopez, Frozen actor Josh Gad, Grammy-nominated recording artist Teddy Swims, and Avatar star Joel David Moore, the Hollywood pals came together to congratulate Paul Walter Hauser on his rise through the ranks of professional wrestling. The stars then revealed that Hauser, who is soon to be the star of the Fantastic Four franchise, will be competing for a major wrestling championship match during WrestleMania week this April for the UK's biggest independent promotion, PROGRESS Wrestling.

Hauser’s celebrity pals celebrated his journey from making his debut in 2023 as a huge fan to becoming a bona fide professional wrestler racking up more than 15 matches, before announcing he will challenge for the prestigious PROGRESS Wrestling Proteus World Championship at PROGRESS Wrestling Chapter 179: PROGRESS, Las Vegas. Hauser, a Golden Globe winner, joins popular current champion and YouTube sensation Simon Miller as the first two names announced for the PROGRESS Wrestling Proteus World Championship scramble match.

The PROGRESS Wrestling Proteus World Championship has a storied history, with notable past competitors including AEW’s Eddie Kingston and Kyle Fletcher as well as WWE’s Ilja Dragunov, and Axiom. Hauser’s entry into the scramble match adds genuine Hollywood star-power to an already stacked card, which will see Simon Miller defend the title against a yet-to-be-revealed ensemble of challengers. 

Alongside their championship match, fans can also look forward to a Tag Team Match between Lykos Gym (Kid Lykos & Kid Lykos II) and Boisterous Behaviour (Leon Slater & Man Like Dereiss), as well as a Las Vegas exclusive match featuring The Royal Black Swan Cara Noir. The event will be highlighted by a PROGRESS Wrestling Women’s World Championship Three-Way Match between champion Nina Samuels and challengers Rhio and Vert Vixen, and the PROGRESS Men's World Championship  Match between PROGRESS Wrestling's best Luke Jacobs and Michael Oku.

The action will unfold on April 17th at the Pearl Theater in Las Vegas, Nevada, during WrestleMania Week.
