The main event for UFC Fight Night Atlanta is set as #4 Kamaru Usman faces #6 Joaquin Buckley in the featured fight.
The main event fight was announced by the UFC through various social media channels.
Usman (20-4-0) enters the contest on a three fight losing streak and he hasn’t won a fight in almost four years. Usman also hasn’t competed in nearly two years, with his last fight being a loss to Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 294. Usman is a former UFC Welterweight Champion, defeating Tyron Woodley to win the gold at UFC 235.
Buckley (21-6-0) comes into this fight riding a six fight winning streak, with notable victories coming over Vicente Luque, Stephen Thompson and Colby Covington. Buckley hasn’t been beaten in over two years, with his last loss coming to Chris Curtis at UFC 282. Buckley is undefeated thus far when competing in UFC main events, having defeated the aforementioned Covington at UFC On ESPN 63 in December of 2024.
