BKB Bare Knuckle Boxing will debut in Nashville, Tennessee on Saturday, June 21 when it hosts BKB 42: Music City Brawl at The Pinnacle, 910 Exchange Lane, Nashville, TN 37203.  The event will mark the first live professional bare knuckle boxing event hosted in Tennessee since the state legalized the sport in March of this year. The historic card will feature seven bare knuckle boxing world champions from around the world showcasing their talents in BKB’s three-sided patented ring, the Mighty Trigon, the smallest fighting surface in combat sports.

Headlining the card will be one of the biggest fights in bare knuckle history when BKB two-division champion, South Africa’s Lorawnt-T “Smash” Nelson defends his Super Middleweight title against the only man to defeat him, 7-0 Sam “The Caveman” Liera (Anaheim, CA by way of Mexico).  The fight will be a rematch of their 2022 Bare Knuckle Boxing Hall of Fame Match of the Year when Liera defeated Nelson for the interim BKB Super Middleweight championship.  Liera would go on to unify the title against champion Jose Fernandez before announcing his retirement.  Liera returned to action this past February and defeated 4-2 title contender Ryan Jett.  In the meantime, Nelson solidified himself as the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world, capturing the BKB Middleweight and Super Middleweight titles, while posting victories over numerous former champions including Barrie Jones, Dan McGraffin, and James Connelly.

In the co-main event, former Super Welterweight champion Brazil’s Carlos "Mistoca" Alexandre looks to regain the title he vacated when he returns to the Mighty Trigon to face current champ, St. Louis’ Javon "Wolfman" Wright. In a feature a matchup of two current women’s title holders looking to become the promotion’s first female two-division champion, BKB Women's Welterweight Champion Jamie Driver (4-1, 3 KOs, Pennington, NJ) and BKB Super Featherweight Champion Helen Peralta (3-0, 3 KOs, Fairfield, IA by way of the Dominican Republic) go toe-to-toe in a Super Lightweight eliminator match for the rights to take on Super Lightweight champion Khortni Kamyron. Also slated for the card is former BKB Heavyweight champion and UFC veteran “Hurricane” Ike Villanueva (Houston, TX) who will face off against America’s first modern professional bare knuckle fighter, Eric “Bloodaxe” Olsen (Long Island, NY).

In the past two years, BKB (originally BYB) has purchased the UK-based BKB, the world’s oldest professional bare knuckle boxing company, and in doing so merged the organizations to create the largest bare knuckle boxing company in the world in terms of roster, library and distribution; ushered in ethical and legalized gambling to the sport; acquired the rights to the historic and prestigious Police Gazette Diamond Belt which now serves as the Bare Knuckle Boxing World Championship; and brought bare knuckle boxing to lineal television in the United States with the recent deal with VICE TV.

In addition to the largest roster of fighters across the globe, BKB boasts a who’s who of broadcast talent on both sides of the Atlantic.

Calling the June 21 fights will be Mike Goldberg, recognized as the golden voice of combat sports, with Paulie Malignaggi, one of the biggest personalities in combat sports and a former IBF junior welterweight and WBA welterweight champion, serving as the expert analyst ringside. Nashville-resident Danielle Moinet, the former "Summer Rae" in the WWE, whose credits include NFL Network, NASCAR, and Microsoft, will provide in-ring and backstage interviews. Rounding out the team is ring announcer Kody "Big Mo" Mommaerts. Known professionally as 'Big Mo,' the 29-year-old has been hailed as the next generation of ring announcers, bringing a fresh, energetic style to the industry.
