PROGRESS Wrestling Announce Luke Jacobs vs Cara Noir for the PROGRESS Men’s World Championship at Chapter 181: Far From Ordinary People

PROGRESS Wrestling is thrilled to announce that at Chapter 181: Far From Ordinary People, the reigning PROGRESS Men’s World Champion Luke Jacobs will defend his title against none other than Cara Noir.
The event takes place on Sunday, 29th June at the iconic O2 Ritz in Manchester, a fitting stage for this highly anticipated rematch between two of PROGRESS Wrestling’s most compelling competitors.
The history between Luke Jacobs and Cara Noir is well-documented. During Cara Noir’s historic reign as PROGRESS Men’s World Champion, he twice overcame Jacobs, leaving the then-young challenger yearning for redemption.
Fast forward to 2025 and Jacobs now stands atop the mountain himself, recently surpassing Pete Dunne’s title reign in number of days – a milestone that has solidified his place in the annals of British wrestling history.
Their most recent clash at Super Strong Style 16 added a controversial chapter to their story. In a gripping bout, Cara Noir appeared to have victory in hand, locking Jacobs in the dreaded Blackout Sleeper. Yet, in a last gasp of survival instinct, Jacobs managed to roll back onto Cara and secure the pin – even as he slipped into unconsciousness.
Unwilling to let that be the final word, Jacobs has now personally requested a rematch – not just to defend his title, but to prove that he can do more than survive against Cara Noir. He wants to win, definitively, in front of a hometown Manchester crowd.
“Nobody leaves me lying like that, I can do better than that. This is about me and you one more time in Manchester. Prove you can take out North West Strong properly... look at me. But I'm still PROGRESS Men's World Champion."
