Justin Tafa has been pulled from a bout against Jhonata Diniz at UFC 317 according to 4oz To Freedom, replacing him is Alvin Hines.
Diniz (8-1-0) has won two of three under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Austen Lane and Karl Williams. Diniz has suffered a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came to Marcin Tybura at UFC 309. Diniz previously competed on Dana White’s Contender Series, defeating Eduardo Neves by second round knockout.
Hines (7-0-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this bout and does so with an undefeated streak that has lasted over two years. Hines has competed seven times as a professional MMA fighter and just one of those bouts went the distance. Hines also went 4-0-0 under the LFA banner and three of those victories came by some form of finish.
UFC 317 takes place on Saturday, June 28 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with Charles Oliveira and Ilia Topuria headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+ pay-per-view.
