A featherweight division attraction is set for the August 9 UFC Fight Night card according to Rodriguez himself as Christian Rodriguez faces Andre Fili.
Rodriguez (12-3-0) has won just one of his last three in the UFC, with that lone win coming over Austin Bashi at UFC Fight Night 249. Rodriguez will be fighting for the third time this year, making 2025 his most active year as a pro fighter since 2022. Rodriguez also competed on Dana White’s Contender Series, defeating Reyes Cortez Jr. by unanimous decision.
Fili (24-12-0-1NC) has rotated wins and losses in his last seven UFC bouts, with his last fight being a first round submission loss to Melquizael Costa at UFC Fight Night 252. Fili has spent more than a decade competing in the UFC, with his promotional debut happening at UFC 166 in October of 2013. Fili has earned 24 wins as a professional MMA fighter and 11 of them have come by way of decision.
UFC Fight Night is scheduled for Saturday, August 9 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Roman Dolidze and Anthony Hernandez headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
