A bantamweight division encounter has been added to UFC Fight Night Abu Dhabi according to Red Corner MMA as Bryce Mitchell faces Said Nurmagomedov.
Mitchell (17-3-0) is making his UFC Bantamweight Division debut in this encounter, as he had previously competed at featherweight. Mitchell has won just two of his last five under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Dan Ige and Kron Gracie. Mitchell has suffered three losses as a professional MMA fighter and all of those losses came during UFC competition.
Nurmagomedov (18-4-0) has won one of his last three in the UFC, with that lone win coming over Muin Gafurov at UFC 294. Nurmagomedov hasn’t won a fight in nearly two years, as the aforementioned victory at UFC 294 happened in October of 2023. Nurmagomedov has suffered four losses as a professional MMA fighter and all of those came by decision.
UFC Fight Night Abu Dhabi takes place on Saturday, July 26 from the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi with Robert Whittaker and Reiner De Ridder headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on ABC.
