A flyweight division attraction may be heading to Noche UFC according to Real Kevin K as #3 Alexa Grasso faces #7 Rose Namajunas.
Grasso (16-5-1) enters the contest riding a two fight losing streak, dropping bouts to Valentina Shevchenko and Natalia Silva. Grasso is a former UFC Flyweight Champion, defeating the aforementioned Shevchenko to win the gold at UFC 285. Grasso hasn’t won a fight in over two years, with her last win at UFC 285 happened in March of 2023.
Namajunas (14-7-0) has won three of five since moving up to flyweight, with those wins coming over Amanda Ribas, Tracy Cortez and Miranda Maverick. Namajunas is a former two time UFC Flyweight Champion, defeating Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Weili Zhang to win the gold. Namajunas has earned 14 wins as a professional MMA fighter and half have come by way of decision.
Noche UFC takes place on Saturday, September 13 from the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas with no main event announced at this time. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
