A bantamweight division attraction has been added to the August 9 UFC Fight Night card according to Real Kevin K as Miles Johns faces Jean Matsumoto.
Johns (15-3-0-1NC) has won three of his last six in the UFC, with those wins coming over Vince Morales, Cody Gibson and Douglas Silva De Andrade. Johns hasn’t picked up a victory in over a year, as his last win came at UFC On ESPN 58 in July of 2024. Johns has seen his last five fights go the distance and it has been over three years since the fighter got a finish.
Matsumoto (16-1-0) has won two of three in the UFC, with those wins coming over the duo of Dan Argueta and Brad Katona. Matsumoto has suffered a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came to Rob Font at UFC Fight Night 252. Matsumoto has competed 17 times as a professional MMA fighter and eight of those bouts went the distance.
UFC Fight Night is scheduled for Saturday, August 9 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Roman Dolidze and Anthony Hernandez headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
