A heavyweight division attraction has been added to UFC Vegas 117 according to MMA Fighting as Guilherme Pat faces Thomas Petersen.
Pat (6-0-0) has already competed once under the UFC banner, defeating Allen Frye by unanimous decision at UFC On ESPN 73. Pat is undefeated as a professional MMA fighter and that streak has lasted for over three years. Pat has earned six wins as a professional MMA fighter and four of them came by way of KO/TKO.
Petersen (10-4-0) has won just two of five in the UFC, with those wins coming over Mohammed Usman and Don’Tale Mayes. Petersen also competed on Dana White’s Contender Series, defeating Chandler Cole by second round submission. Petersen has suffered four losses as a professional MMA fighter and all of them have come against current/past UFC fighters.
UFC Vegas 117 takes place on Saturday, April 4 from the Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with no main event announced at this time. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on Paramount+.
