Gable Steveson wins at Mexico Fight League 3

Olympic gold medalist Gable Steveson improved to 3-0 in his professional MMA career with a first round TKO win over veteran Hugo Lezama (11-4) in the main event of Mexico Fight League 3 in Monterrey, Mexico, on Thursday night, February 19.

Steveson stayed calm in the fight as Lezama attempted multiple spinning offenses, even landing one. The 25-year-old got top control and finished landing down some ground and pound to force the finish three minutes and fifty seconds into the first fight, the longest of his pro fighting career so far.

Elsewhere on MFL 3, Matias Molero (5-2) maintained his 100% finish ratio by scoring a vicious TKO victory over Ricardo Hurtado (2-4) and 'Smooth' Edgar Escarrega (13-4-1) looked dominant with a stellar first round submission win over Irving 'Mustang' Cardona (4-5) in the co-main event.

Disaster struck earlier in the night as heavyweight Hector Negroe suffered a horrific broken leg against Renzo Aldave (1-0) and had to be stretchered out of the cage.

You can watch the full MFL 3 event back right now on the MFL YouTube Channel.
