A featherweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Mexico City according to the Iridium Sports Agency as Francis Marshall faces Erik Silva.
Marshall (8-3-0) has won two of five in the UFC, with those victories coming over Marcelo Rojo and Dennis Buzukja. Marshall competed on Dana White’s Contender Series, defeating Connor Matthews by unanimous decision. Marshall has earned eight wins as a professional MMA fighter and four of them came by way of submission.
Silva (9-3-0) is winless thus far under the UFC banner, dropping bouts to TJ Brown and Muhammadjon Naimov. Silva also competed on Dana White’s Contender Series, defeating Anvar Boynazarov by first round TKO. Silva hasn’t picked up a victory in over three years, with his last win coming in August of 2022.
UFC Fight Night Mexico City takes place on Saturday, February 28 from the Arena CDMX in Mexico City, Mexico with Brandon Moreno and Lone’er Kavanagh headlining. PWInsiderXtra is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on Paramount+.
