FIRST BATCH OF READER FEEDBACK TO NO MERCY

By PWInsiderXtra Readers on 10/9/2006 11:08 AM

I have to say the PPV was slightly disappointing...

Gregory Helms vs. Matt Hardy was a long & good match...I knew that the PPV needed a great opening match, and this was one of the best matches on the card. Some cool new moves from Helms and they worked hard...I like that Hardy won..

KC James/Idol Stevens vs. Brian Kendrick/Paul London was another great match. London & Kendrick are jaw dropping amazing, so I knew the match would be great. The match should've been a little longer, but I guess the pointless backstage segments took away some minutes from this match. What's beyond me is that when London did the shooting star press/moonsault the announcers called it a "northern lights"....What the hell was that about?

MVP vs. Garner got the deservingly boring chant early...This is what happens when you over hype something. MVP showed nothing tonight, and I give him 3 months in WWE.

Speaking of over hype....2 commercials for the Marina film? WTF??

Ken Kennedy vs. Undertaker was a good long match. Kennedy has improved and I look forward to this feud in the coming weeks...

Chavo vs. Rey was the most disappointing match on the card, maybe I expected to much - but this was bad.  I thought Rey was getting knee surgery after this match, but with him winning he'll have to wait a little while longer

Regal vs. Benoit was THE match of the night by far !! Stiff, real & a great match...Benoit hasn't missed a step since injury..I welcome more matches with these 2.

Booker T vs. Lashley vs. Finlay vs. Batista was a disappointing main event...It's SO freaking easy to see that Lashley & Batista are still green, that they don't belong anywhere near the main event scene and that the are slow & hasn't got a good move set...Finlay was the ace in this match and Booker was the heel that out smarted everyone..

If I had to grade this train wreck, I'd give it 4 out of 10 due to the first 2 matches and the crowd during the MVP match..

I thought that No Mercy was a B-rated PPV. It felt and seemed like it was just another Smackdown event. Granted the Maine event ran longer then it does on Smack Dow, but It wasn't worth the $39.95 that I paid for it. It wasn't all that interesting. Didn't keep me attacked to the TV, so I give it a 3 out of 10 rating.

Well I can honestly say it really sucked up until the MVP vs. a jobber match, it was good at that point because I fell asleep from boredom and woke up at about 12:15am. If you are wondering yes it was a good little nap.  I mean come on a "big" star you have been hyping for weeks against a jobber at a PPV?!WTF!!  I would have had more fun playing WCW on my NES than I did watching this crap the WWE calls entertainment.  Now I just have to wait until Thursday to see some good wrestling and Oct. 22 for a good
PPV.

Well, if you didn't see the PPV and you're reading this don't waste money on the replay or renting it when it comes to video just watch Smackdown for the results or read 'em
here on pwinsider.com (plug, plug) and enjoy TNA every Thursday.
