I really wish I didn't care, but WWE have made me HATE the product. I have already removed ECW from my DVR schedule.
I'm going to e-mail WWE and ask for a refund, they may say card subject to change but they promise a show that is three hours long and they didn't deliver. (Although if the show did go closer to its normal length I might have suffocated myself with a pillow case to stop the torment.)

ECW December To Dismember PPV
I guess the idea of ECW being presented any differently from Raw and SD is now officially dead and buried with the pyro and Spanish announce team present. Did Joey Styles really say a new ECW champion would be crowned later tonight? That’s a good idea to give away the result beforehand…
Hardys vs MNM – My God, was Melina dressed by a nun this week? That has to be the most covered she has ever been. But she still looked good. Shame about that hideous noise than comes from her mouth. Real good match if a little awkwardly paced. I think we learned that both teams aren’t used to going over 15 minutes because all four men were spent for the last 7 or 8 minutes. Good opener.
If RVD’s promo was an ECW.com exclusive? Then why was it the same one that appeared on the ECW TV show?
Matt Striker vs Balls Mahoney – Striker has the gayest trunks in wrestling. I wonder if Striker forgetting to mention “No chairs†will come back to haunt him. Bit of a style clash, nothing too offensive but nothing too memorable either. I guess the old school ECW fans are in the minority tonight judging by the lack of heat for this match in comparison to the Hardys match.
Jeez – we all know Sabu was in the doghouse but taking him out of the advertised main event? The fans didn’t like it either and damn right too – they should have taken Test out instead…
Elijah Burke & Sylvester Turkay vs FBI – Did Elijah really say “S****s E***PPV? It’s funny seeing them booking Turkay to look like a monster after he was so easily dominated by the Hardys on TV earlier this week. So, Elijah’s finisher is The Stroke? And did anyone else hear the TNA chant when Turkay hit the Muscle Buster? Okay for a squash match.
Tommy Dreamer vs Daivari – Have they forgotten we’ve already heard Daivari speak English? This was just an extended TV match. You know Tommy, you’ve earned the right to win a few matches now. The post match bump on the metal ramp was sick and a little unnecessary, considering Dreamer’s well documented back problems.
I think it was obvious that Hardcore Holly would be picked to replace Sabu and again the fans didn’t like it…
Mike Knox & Kelly Kelly vs Kevin Thorn & Ariel – Er…Kelly tried to hide the mic from Knox forgetting that he could still hear her? Ariel is a cheeky girl isn’t she? In fact, she is more of an exhibitionist than Kelly is… Match was um, interesting I guess…The pop for Sandman was the biggest of the night thus far. I guess his match with Holly is off the show now.
I figured the Armageddon PPV would be hyped but not with Michael Cole doing a live run down. I half expected to see Sandman appear and cane Cole.
So who was worse on the mic – Lashley or Rebecca?
As great as Heyman is on the mic couldn’t they have added another match to fill the time? We still have an hour left on the show! Is the chamber match going to run for an hour then? And did you hear the smart comments like “Hire the Franchise†and regarding Big Show “He’s retiring next year!
Extreme Elimination Chamber Match – I guess it was obvious that RVD and Holly would start this thing off. I don’t get the booking here. CM Punk was arguably the most popular guy in the match and has an unbeaten streak in ECW so they have him eliminated first? And did they ever screw up Holly’s elimination with the obvious two count. While Test’s elbow from the top of the pod was cool, again it was odd to have RVD go but I guess they wanted Lashley to be the star of this match despite the BS chants. I’m surprised that Lashley didn’t break through his pod door instead of climbing through the roof. I swear I heard some “Boring†and “TNA†chants here. And so we have a new ECW champ. So much for the “Extreme†element of this match because it was no more brutal than previous Chamber matches. Very disappointing considering the hype for this match and when you consider how this was pretty much hyped as a one match show
Bottom Line – I feel sorry for the
If WWE was intent in burying ECW with this show then they did a very good job, unless there is another reason for what we got tonight. You can’t fault the wrestlers here – only the bookers. This was pretty much a master class in how NOT to present a PPV – from not announcing the full card ahead of time, to throwing out just anything on the night then delivering a badly booked, sub par main event and finally ending the show 30 minutes early.
I think Armageddon may lose a lot of buys (not that it would get many anyway) out of spite now and the ECW TV show may have lost some of its – excuse the pun – hardcore viewers after this show.
My Score: 3/10
