ROH NEWSWIRE: HOMICIDE, CT LINEUP AND MORE

By ROH Wrestling on 12/12/2006 11:12 AM
December 13th: Tickets for ROH's return to the UK go on sale at 1pm today at ROHwrestling.com. Last year all the best seats sold out within hours. The events will be on March 3rd & 4th in Liverpool. ROH will follow up last year's huge events with even bigger cards and more talent. Already announced are "ROH Legend" Samoa Joe, Delirious and The Briscoes. There will be much more talent announced in the upcoming months.

December 13th: To coincide with UK tickets going on sale, ROH is now officially announcing The Fifth Year Festival. Last year ROH presented seven shows that all saw the company reach a milestone. Those seven shows became The Milestone Series. February will see ROH reach its biggest milestone ever. ROH will celebrate its fifth birthday!!! It will be a celebration so big and so important that it will take place over six events in a three week period. This series of shows will be known as The Fifth Year Festival. You can expect huge happenings for all these shows. The Fifth Year Festival will take place on:
-2/16/07- To Be Announced
-2/17/07- Philadelphia, PA
-2/23/07- Dayton, OH (five years to the date of the first ever show)
-2/24/07- Chicago, IL
-3/3/07- Liverpool, UK
-3/4/07- Liverpool, UK

Tickets are on sale for all these events. ROH is working on bringing the most loaded cards yet for what is sure to be a memorable string of shows. You made this all possible with your support. Thank you!!!

December 13th: There is more and more talk within ROH about the "curse of Homicide" as we approach the 12/23 Homicide vs. Bryan Danielson World Title Match in Manhattan, NY. Not only has Homicide never held a title in ROH, but there seems to be a curse around all of his title matches. Homicide has lost title matches by controversial referee stoppage, countout and no contests. Samoa Joe almost had to kill Homicide on a few occasions during Joe's memorable World Title Matches vs. Homicide. No matter how Homicide has lost, it is clear that he has a curse when it comes to titles in ROH. Homicide has been in ROH consistently since day one. Five years have led to 12/23 when Homicide will either be ROH World Champion or his ROH career will be over. Tickets are selling fast and we anticipate a sellout. Make sure you don't get shutout. Get your tickets now at www.ROHwrestling.com or by calling 215-781-2500.

December 13th: Keep an eye out for the new ROH Video Wire tomorrow at www.ROHvideos.com and on Youtube. Homicide will be the host and it is completely free!!! The new Video Wire will feature action from last weekend's "Chicago Spectacular" plus more.

December 13th: FIP returns to action this weekend with two absolutely loaded cards. Friday in Crystal River, FL will feature the Cage Of Pain pitting Black Market vs. The Heartbreak Express in a steel cage with barbed wire and weapons. Saturday in Inverness, FL will feature The Florida Rumble where any match is possible. Austin Aries has just been added to both events. Also signed are: FIP Heavyweight Champion Roderick Strong, Bryan Danielson, Delirious, Shingo, The YRR, Larry Sweeney, Hallowicked, Gran Akuma, Colt Cabana, Davey Richards, Erick Stevens, Jerrelle Clark and more. Check www.FullImpactPro.com for more info. Don't forget that both "Second Year Spectacular" DVDs are now out at ROHwrestling.com and if you buy any three FIP DVDs at ROHwrestling.com you will get "FIP Best Of CM Punk Vol. 1: Declarations" for FREE!!!

December 13th: The Japanese awards have been announced and Naomichi Marufuji, who you can see on ROH's "Glory By Honor V: Night 2," "Best In The World" and "Final Battle 2005" DVDs, won most outstanding. Marufuji vs. KENTA from 10/29 NOAH "Autumn Navagation 2006" won match of the year. You can get "Autumn Navagation 2006" at ROHwrestling.com.

December 13th: If Roderick Strong makes it past this weekend with the FIP Heavyweight Title he will defend it against Davey Richards on the 12/22 ROH event in Hartford, CT. This match will take place whether the title is on the line or not. ROH has a new home in Connecticut and its just minutes from downtown Hartford and an easy location to reach from all points. Strong vs. Richards has potential to be the match of the weekend. These two have had some altercations and a 25 minute classic in FIP and now the ROH fans will get to see the match. For information on this great new location go to www.CTexpocenter.com and also make sure to check out the main page of ROHwrestling.com for an article on ROH in New England.
