DREAMER WINS, ORTON-LASHLEY BORES - READER FEEDBACK TO ECW

WHY ... Why...why?...
I have watched every episode of ECW since its new WWE inception and I can admit that they were gaining steam the last two weeks. The New Breed/ECW originals thing was starting to brew, Stone Cold (bad promo or not) was there. McMahon's spot with Lashley last week was solid but then they dropped the ball this week, AGAIN!
The opening rumble wasn't bad for what it was but two things stuck out - it hasn't been said what or if there will be any stipulations at Mania so for now I am going to assume it is a regular 8 man tag, possibly elimination rules. So if you are gonna give it away for free on TV (1st mistake) then why not make it hardcore at least (2nd mistake) and since RVD pulled the win last week why not throw the bone to Elijah with the win this week (3 strikes your out) to keep an ebb and flow for the feud. Notable mention, everyone should go back and watch the tape because I am pretty sure RVD botched the match, I don't think he was supposed to go out, I think he was supposed to be the sole survivor and if that was the case then kudos to Dreamer and Burke for changing the finish on moments notice!
Then we get a inane Mick Foley promo - remember, great promo guy, where was that dude tonight? Mick can't turn Evil and good on a dime, he of all people have proved that a slow, long burn for a heel/face change is needed, not to mention if you aren't gonna be at Mania (actually in the match) then why do anything at this point at all? Lastly, why would Mick have nose bleeds seats at the event, couldn't a man of his WWE tenure, lashing book and all, score some good seats at Wrestlemania?
Then we see Snitsky. Okay, I got to be honest, I am a HUGE Snitsky fan and have been since he came - yes his feud with the Big Red Machine was insanely stupid, but he isn't all that bad, better than a lot of big men I've seen over the years. I think that this was the one match/angle they handled correctly. Sure it was a couple jobbers - but they are building up the monster and doing a good job at it.
Lastly, Orton v. Bobby Lashley. Orton carried Bobby in this match. Period. All in all not a bad match and the crowd really wasn't fair to either of them. Edge played the heel quietly but convincingly, so big ups to Edge. Now can we please bring the Zombie theme back (As in Rob Zombie, not the forgotten Zombie wrestler the new ECW started with)?
McMahon + angry man in black = stupid.
This show could have been so much better...please ECW/WWE get back on the roll you were on, the train is about to derail - and the last stop is mania so beware!!!

I picture Umaga watching Lashley-Orton boring the crowd, and thinking to himself "I've got my work cut out for me carrying this guy at Wrestlemania". I don't know why WWE felt the need to put Lashley in a 20-minute match on television, but Randy Orton was not the guy to do it with. Finlay, Benoit, Michaels, Booker, Edge, Flair ... there's plenty of guys who could do 20-minutes with Lashley and make him look good, but Orton isn't one of them. The finish was so anti-climactic, I almost dozed off during it.

Tommy Dreamer won a match. I think I may faint.
