THE DRAFT 5 YEARS LATER

On the 25 March 2002 – WWE had a Draft in which the 2 Co-owners Vince McMahon – Smackdown owner and Ric Flair – Raw owner would pick Superstar to go to their shows. All Superstar could be drafted expect the following.

Triple H Chris Jericho & Stephanie McMahon were in a WWE Undisputed title match. Jazz the women’s champion & Stone Cold Steve Austin who had a Contractual Clause he couldn’t be drafted.

Number 2 – Kurt Angle
Number 3 – Chris Benoit
Number 4 – Hulk Hogan
Number 5 – Billy & Chuck (Tag Team Champ)
Number 6 - Edge
Number 7 - Rikishi
Number 8 – D Von Dudley
Number 9 – Mark Henry
Number 10 – Maven (Hardcore Champ)

Number 1 – Undertaker
Number 2 – The NWO
Number 3 – Kane
Number 4 – Rob Van Dam (IC Champ)

Of the 20 pick on that night only 9 people are still there.

Chris Benoit – The current US champ is still on Smackdown. Will be at Wrestlemania against MVP.

Chuck Palumbo – On WWE books but with nothing to do thanks to creative.

Edge – Raw number 1 heel and the company top performer. He’s in the Money in the Bank Ladder match at WrestleMania.

Mark Henry – Currently out of action with a leg injury.

Undertaker – Back in his Deadman persona. He meets Batista at WrestleMania 23 for the World Heavyweight Title.

Kane – Meeting The Great Khali at WrestleMania.

RVD – Part of the New Breed vs Old School match at WrestleMania 23.

Booker T – King Booker as he now known. Will be at WrestleMania 23 in the Money in the Bank match.

& William Regal – Creative don’t have anything to do.

So if you think that the split has worked or not it still a piece of history that may be forgotten.
