RING OF HONOR NEWSWIRE:BRYAN DANIELSON INJURY UPDATE, LATEST LINEUPS AND MORE

By ROH Wrestling on 8/30/2007 12:41 PM
August 30th: Bryan Danielson underwent laser eye surgery on Monday to repair his retina. He is scheduled to be out 4-6 weeks, but will have check ups every week to look at his progress. All signs from the surgery are positive and it is 90% that Danielson will regain his eyesight, although it might be blurred. We'll have more updates as soon as we get them. As a result, we don't want to false advertise Danielson for the 9/14 main event in Detroit in case he can't wrestle that night. Detroit will now have Jay & Mark Briscoe defend the ROH World Tag Team Titles against The Resilience of Austin Aries & Matt Cross. The Resilience have been on a hot streak and are gaining momentum. The ROH World Tag Team Titles could be in their future!!!

August 30th: Delirious vs. Matt Sydal for the very last time has been signed for the 9/15 PPV taping in Chicago. This will be a bonus match for the live fans and DVD audience and not a match taped for PPV. You know there will be huge matches when ROH tapes its third PPV on 9/15 in Chicago. We'll have much more news next week. Get your tickets now at ROHwrestling.com or by calling 215-781-2500.

August 30th: ROH World Champion Takeshi Morishima suffered an excruciating amount of pain in his leg after his defense against Bryan Danielson last Saturday. Morishima's thigh and knee were bruised bright red from Danielson's numerous kicks. Things won't get any easier for the World Champion in Detroit. In fact, Morishima won't even know who his challenger will be that night. The first half of the show will feature a Four Corner Survival with Roderick Strong vs. Delirious vs. Erick Stevens vs. Kevin Steen. The winner will face Morishima for the World Title in the second half of the show. Morishima is sure to face a tough challenge in Detroit.

August 30th: We have many more exciting matches to announce for 9/14 "Motor City Madness '07" in Detroit.
