TNAlt PPV #2 - Wednesday, December 5

Location: Orlando, FL

Announce team: Jeremy Borash & Kevin Nash

After the usual pre-PPV video package airs, Jeremy Borash and Kevin Nash welcome to tonight's PPV. They run through the card before we head to the ring to get straight into our first match

No Disqualification Match - Rhino vs. Matt Morgan

As he makes his way to the ring, we're shown Rhino's promo from last week's TV where he tells Matt Morgan he wants this match to be a no DQ match after Morgan has left him laid out in recent weeks. Assortments of weapons are in the ring and at ringside, including chairs, trash cans, baking sheets and road signs. From the opening bell the match is an all out brawl. Rhino takes it to Morgan early with some forearms and punches before reaching for a chair. He gets ready to nail Morgan over the head with it, but the big man sees it comes and punches the chair into Rhino's face. Morgan follows it up by hitting Rhino over the head with a trash can lid several times, with the third and final shot causing Rhino to go to the outside.

Morgan follows to the outside where he whips Rhino into the guard rail. He charges at Rhino looking for a boot to the head, but Rhino sees it coming and Morgan gets crotched over the guard rail. Rhino then grabs a chair and says "this is for last week" before nailing Morgan across the head, sending him over the rail into the crowd. The camera zooms in to show Morgan busted open. Rhino then suplexes Morgan back over the guard rail before laying into him with punches to the head.

Morgan is left laid out on the ground as Rhino goes underneath the ring and brings out a ladder. Instead of climbing it, he sets it up so it's laid from the ring apron across the ringside area, with the other side resting on top of one of the guard rails. Rhino then whips Morgan into the ladder hard. With Morgan still laid against the ladder, Rhino takes a few steps back before looking to the crowd for approval as he sets up for a gore. He charges at Morgan, but at the last second Morgan side steps out of the way, and Rhino ends up crashing into the ladder, his head ending up caught between two rungs.

Morgan picks up a chair, and hits the ladder with it repeatedly, the impact obviously causing pain to Rhino, who eventually manages to free his head from the ladder. As he does so, Morgan catches him with a big boot to the head and tosses him back into the ring.

Back in the ring, Morgan makes a cover but only gets a two count. He whips Rhino off the ropes and looks for a clothesline, but Rhino ducks under and comes back off the ropes to hit a clothesline of his own which sends Morgan down. Rhino sets Morgan up in the corner and gets ready for the gore, but senses that the big man may counter it again, so instead he gets a trash can and nails him with it. Rhino then picks up another trash can and places it over Morgan's head, covering his upper body as well. Morgan staggers around in the corner, unaware of what is going on. He turns around to face the centre of the ring, but no sooner as he does that, he is hit with a gore while still inside the trash can. Rhino pulls the trash can off Morgan's head, makes the cover, and gets the win. Winner at 7:54 - Rhino

Footage of Booker T arriving at the arena earlier today is shown as Jeremy Borash puts over his match with Samoa Joe which takes place later tonight. Brief clips from the video package and interview with Booker T from this past week's show are then aired before we head backstage where Mike Tenay is with the Motor City Machine Guns, along with Jim Cornette. Cornette says that it's now nearly two months since he took the Guns under his wing, adding, "I promised you that tag team wrestling would become great again, and I told you that Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley were the future of tag team wrestling." Shelley and Sabin look at the camera with a focused look on their face as Cornette adds, "Team 3D, tonight you're next on the list. Your fat asses are just minutes away from a wrestling lesson, courtesy of the Motor City Machine Guns."

The Motor City Machine Guns (w/Jim Cornette) vs. Team 3D

After both tag teams make their entrances, the match gets underway with Brother Ray and Chris Sabin in the ring. It's an interesting battle in the opening exchanges as Sabin is using his quickness to counter Ray's advances, while the former ECW star is looking to use his power to overwhelm Sabin. Brother Ray takes control of the match with some clubbing blows to Sabin's back and a knee lift that knocks the wind out of him. Ray gives Sabin a body slam then climbs to the second rope. He looks to drop an elbow on Sabin, but Sabin sees it comes and rolls out of the way to make the tag to Alex Shelley.

Shelley hits Ray with some rapid fire shots. He then runs off the ropes and hits Ray with a dropkick that sends him through the ropes to the outside. Shelley climbs to the top rope but Devon interferes and pulls him off, causing them to join Ray on the outside. As the referee leans over the top rope calling the three back into the ring, Chris Sabin gets into the ring and using the referee's arched body as a launch pad as he comes over the top of the ropes with a flying body press that sends all four down on the outside. The crowd are on their feet chanting as the camera shows Jim Cornette looking extremely happy and enthusiastic.

Shelley and Ray make their way back to the ring. Ray tries to hit a right hand, but Shelley ducks under and hits a dropkick to the knees that sends Ray down, and then follows it up with a Shining Wizard for a two count. With energy levels high, Shelley looks to hit Sliced Bread #2, but interferes again and takes Shelley's legs out from under him. Team 3D then work over Shelley's legs, cutting him off whenever a small opportunity to make the tag arises. They hit the Wazzzup! double-team move before Brother Ray knocks the wind out of Shelley with a big side walk slam.

Sensing a win is on the horizon, 3D toy with Shelley as Chris Sabin looks on from the outside. Brother Ray calls for Devon to get the tables, but as Devon looks to bring a table in from under the ring, Shelley nails Ray with a superkick out of nowhere before making the tag. Sabin jumps in the ring, only for the referee to send him back out - unaware a tag had been made as he was overseeing Devon's actions on the outside. Shelley is isolated once again, with Sabin becoming more and more frustrated on the ring apron.

Brother Ray sends Shelley into the ropes, and picks him up looking to hit a flapjack. While up in the air, however, Shelley starts punching Ray in the head hard, causing him to lose his balance slightly. Brother Ray manages to execute the move, but because of Shelley's punches, he's not in the standing position he was when he picked him up. As Shelley is sent crashing face first towards the mat, he's close enough to the turnbuckle to make the hot tag to Chris Sabin, and the crowd goes nuts as he clears house. He takes Ray down with a dropkick, and then dropkicks Devon off the ring apron as well. He turns around to see Brother Ray coming at him with a clothesline, but ducks under before connecting with a springboard tornado DDT. The crowd are electric as Sabin makes the cover, but Devon returns just in time to make the save. Alex Shelley comes back into the ring, and they hit Devon with a double dropkick that sends him out of the ring. The Guns then pause to look at each other, before Shelley dives through the ropes onto Devon on the outside as Sabin nails Brother Ray with an enzuigiri in the centre of the ring. He makes the cover, and gets the 1, 2, 3. Winners at 14:11 - The Motor City Machine Guns

An angry and somewhat shocked Team 3D slowly make their way to the back, but not before teasing getting back into the ring. The Guns celebrate in the centre of the ring along with Jim Cornette as Jeremy Borash states, "Perhaps Cornette was right...perhaps this duo are the future of tag team wrestling" before we eventually fade out to a video package.

A video package showing how we came to tonight's match between Senshi and Christopher Daniels airs. That match is up next!

Senshi (w/Homicide & Hernandez) vs. Christopher Daniels

All three members of LAX make their way to the ring, Senshi taking the opportunity to grab a microphone. He says he gave Christopher Daniels a deadline to answer his challenge, and now the clock is ticking.  Daniels' music hits, and the camera pans to the entrance ramp, where nothing happens.  Suddenly, the crowd pops big, and the camera switches back to the ring where Christopher Daniels is punching away on all three members of LAX. He clears Homicide and Hernandez out of the ring, before taking down Senshi with a side dropkick.

A fired up Daniels is shown in the ring as a replay is shown in split-screen of Daniels making his entrance through the crowd.  Daniels continues to dominate, getting several quick near falls until he gets caught as Senshi blocks an atomic drop and hit a one-man flapjack, throwing Daniels neck-first on the top rope. From here, Senshi takes control with Japanese chops to the neck and kicks to the upper chest area - clearly targeting the area of Daniels' body that was hurt and led to him being taken out on a stretcher two weeks ago on TV.

Senshi continues targeting the neck, and hits a running dropkick that sends Daniels into the corner.  Senshi then goes to hit for a running forearm smash to the head, but Daniels ducks and hits an STO before collapsing, unable to make an immediate cover. Daniels then continues his comeback, hitting another STO before heading up for the Best Moonsault Ever. He connects with it, and makes the cover, but Hernandez pulls the referee out of the ring. Daniels hits a baseball slide on Hernandez, and the referee tells Hernandez to get to the back.

With the referee distracted by Hernandez' protests, Homicide sneaks into the ring and hits an Ace Crusher.  Senshi covers, but Daniels kicks out at two.  Daniels then makes a fiery comeback, punching away at Senshi and dominating him, only for Senshi to answer with a low blow, resulting in a DQ. Winner at 11:59 via DQ - Christopher Daniels

Homicide gets in the ring and helps Senshi beat Daniels down before wrapping a chair around Daniels’ neck. Senshi climbs to the top for a double stomp, but is stopped as Elix Skipper comes out for the save, throwing Homicide to the outside and allowing Senshi to escape to the back.

Skipper helps Daniels to his feet. They hug, and then help each other to the back

We cut to a video. The screen is black. A bloody red number 32 slowly fades onto the screen before fading away again.

A video package showing Awesome Kong quest's to land a title shot is shown, with footage going back to prior to last month's PPV (where Kong was not granted a title shot) being shown, as well as footage of the Battle Royal from a couple of weeks ago. The video package ends with a slow-motion shot from last week's TV show where Kong and Kim had a distant stare-off, with Kim holding her Knockouts title above her head.

TNA Knockouts Title Match - Gail Kim (C) vs. Awesome Kong

Gail Kim makes her entrance first, but is attacked from behind by Awesome Kong as she comes down the aisle. Kong hits Kim with two big splashes to leave the champion lying battered.  Kong then goes to the ring and demands to be given the title as Kim obviously can't compete.  But, as medics and security are trying to hold her back, Kim breaks through them and charges into the ring, demanding that the match be started.

Kim unloads on Kong with forearm shots that don't even knock the monster off her feet, and then runs the ropes to deliver a running forearm, only for Kong to stop her with a boot to the midsection.  Kong then works over Kim’s injured ribs for several minutes with basic power moves like a bear hug and also a body scissors on the mat to show she can wrestle too. Kong then hits another big splash, but Kim kicks out at two.  Kong then hits a Samoan Drop, crushing all her weight against Kim's ribs. Again the champion kicks out.

Kong continues to dominate, until going for a Gorilla Press Slam. Kim slips out the back and dropkicks Kong before firing up with punches on her comeback.  She is unable to knock the monster off her feet, but, via a dropkick and a running forearm, is able to back Kong up into the corner.  Kim delivers a perfect handspring elbow, rocking the challenger's jaw.  Then she whips Kong into the opposite corner and goes for a Stinger Splash, but overshoots, hitting against the ring post.  Kim collapses in a heap, and comes up bleeding.  She is on her knees, inching herself up Kong's body, before the monster grabs her head, powerbombs her into the mat, and finishes the match with another big splash. This time, the impact is too much for Kim to handle, and the referee makes the three count. Winner at 10:00 and new TNA Knockouts Champion - Awesome Kong

A video promoting next month's PPV, which will be available on Wednesday, January 9 airs, before we head backstage where Samoa Joe is shown lacing up his boots. An edited version of the video feature on Joe from last week's show is shown, and Joe vs. Booker T is up next!

Samoa Joe vs. Booker T

After both men make their entrances, they lock up in the centre of the ring as the crowd chants for both. They trade holds for the first minute or so until Joe slaps Booker across the face which draws a mixed reaction from the crowd. Joe screams at Booker "You think I'm just some punk kid, Booker?" before slapping him again. Booker T's eyes bulge, and he decks Joe with a hard right hand. They lock up once again, with Booker T taking control and putting on a headlock. Joe sends him into the ropes and looks to hit a clothesline, only for Booker to duck under and head towards the ropes. Booker heads back towards Joe, but Joe catches him and hits an overhead suplex that sends Booker crashing underneath the bottom rope to the outside.

Joe follows him outside and picks him back up to his feet. They trade blows back and forth around ringside, with Joe bouncing Booker's head off the announce table, and Booker then sending Joe shoulder-first into the ring post. Booker then looks to toss Joe into the ring steps, but Joe blocks it and instead whips Booker into the guardrail. The referee is being extremely lenient in letting the action continue outside of the ring, but as Borash and Nash point out on commentary, there is a lot of animosity and pride at stake here, reminding us that these two were told to stay away from TV a couple of weeks ago because management feared they would kill each other. Joe picks up a chair from ringside, and sits a dazed looking Booker T on it against the guard rail. The crowd starts to chant Olé, Olé Olé Olé as Joe gears up for the Olé Kick, which he connects with. Joe then picks his opponent up and they head back into the ring.

In the ring, Joe hammers Booker with several right hands and a lariat. He makes the cover, but only gets a two count. Both men get back to their feet. Joe runs the ropes and looks to hit another lariat, but Booker catches him and connects with a roundhouse kick that knocks Joe off his feet. Booker follows it up with a running knee drop and gets a two count as Kevin Nash comments on how he's seen Booker put people away for the three count with those kicks in the past. Booker sends Joe off the ropes and connects with a spinebuster, but instead of making the cover, a tired Booker T climbs to the top rope and hits Joe with the Harlem Hangover leg drop. He makes the cover, but again Booker kicks out on two.

Joe slowly gets back to his feet, only for Booker to catch him with a knee to the stomach. Booker tries to hit his Axe Kick finisher, but Joe moves out of the way and catches Booker with a jumping enzuigiri before falling to the canvas himself. The crowd are on their feet as Joe makes a cover, but Booker kicks out on two. Again they both slowly rise to their feet. They go back and forth with some sluggish forearms before Booker looks to hit Joe with the Book End. Joe uses his elbows to escape before Booker can land the move, and then attempts to hit Booker with the Muscle Buster. He lifts Booker up, but Booker pokes him in the eye, causing him to have to put Booker back down. Booker lands on his feet, and hits Joe with the Book End. Jeremy Borash says "That's it!" as Booker makes the cover, but Joe kicks out as the referee is just a millisecond away from counting three.

Booker picks Joe back up to his feet and connects with a spinning heel kick. He follows it up by finally connecting with the Axe Kick, and then makes the cover, only for Joe to again kick out just a split-second before the referee counts three. Booker looks to hit a second Book End, but Joe finds the energy to counter it and lock in the Coquina Clutch, only for Booker to be able to grab the ropes as a weakened Samoa Joe is unable to move his opponent into the centre of the ring.

Both visible exhausted, they again slowly rise to their feet. They again go back and forth with some punches and forearms, but it's plain to see that they're not having the desired effect as both men are just so low on energy. As they trade punches, out of nowhere, Joe connects with a knee lift. He then finds the energy to lift Booker up and connects with the Muscle Buster. Both men lay motionless in the centre of the ring. A section of the crowd is intense in cheering for Joe to reach over and make the cover, but he's physically unable to. The referee makes the ten count, and with both men still laid out on the canvas, the referee has no choice but to call for the bell. Winner at 21:32 - Double KO

The crowd are on their feet cheering at what they've just seen as Jeremy Borash calls this "the most intense, ferocious battle we've witnessed in years." Kevin Nash adds that both men gave their all, and that the fans are appreciating that. The crane camera shows both men still laid out in the ring as we eventually fade out.

A video package for the upcoming X Division title match airs, showing the events of the past two months from Jay Lethal's big announcement that Miss Valerie was now by his side, right through to footage from this past Sunday's TV show.

X Division Title Match - Jay Lethal (C) (w/Miss Valerie) vs. Kurt Angle

Angle gets in Lethal’s face and slaps him at the opening bell. Lethal takes a few steps back as Kurt smiles cockily at him, and even sticks his chin out offering it up for Lethal to strike back. Lethal instead grabs Angle in a headlock and takes him down.  Kurt quickly escapes, but flips out, kicking the ropes and getting into a shoving match with the referee.  Lethal then dropkicks Angle from behind and covers for a two count, but Angle gets up and immediately takes Lethal down with a big clothesline.

Kurt grabs a headlock and grounds Lethal, dominating him on the mat for several minutes. He rubs Lethal’s face in the mat, grinds his forearm across Lethal’s nose and just generally dominates him for a good seven or eight minutes. As he does this, the commentators talk about Kurt’s history for wrestling long matches, sometimes up to an hour, and with titles on the line as well, he has more experience than Jay Lethal going into this match.

Angle picks up Lethal and hits the three successive German suplexes, but Lethal kicks out of the pinfall attempts. Angle then hits the Olympic Slam, but Lethal again kicks out at two.  Angle then goes up top for the top rope Olympic Slam, but Lethal blocks it and hits a top rope sunset flip out of nowhere.  As both men struggle back to their feet, Lethal blocks a punch and hits the Randy Savage punches on Angle, backing Kurt up in the corner, only for Kurt to take Lethal down by the legs and try to get a sneaky pinfall win with his feet on the ropes. Again, Lethal kicks out at two.

Lethal then hits a neck breaker and the Lethal Combination before climbing the ropes for the flying elbow, but as he’s in midair, Angle is able to roll out the way so Lethal crashes.  When both get back to their feet, Kurt hits the Olympic Slam for and gets another near fall. He then pulls his straps down and hits another Olympic Slam before going for the ankle lock, but Lethal counters with a rollup. Unlike in their first match, however, Angle is able to kick out at 2, and then lock on the ankle lock again.

Lethal inches towards the ropes, but Kurt pulls Lethal back to the middle of the ring and drops down, scissoring the legs.  Lethal struggles, and the camera shows Miss Valerie reaching into the ring as Lethal reaches out towards the ropes, but he is unable to move, and is forced to tap out and lose the X Division Title. Winner at 28:22 and new X Division Champion - Kurt Angle

Angle celebrates in the ring. Eventually, Lethal gets back to his feet. Angle offers a handshake, which Lethal slowly extends his hand to accept. As he does so, Angle pulls his hand away and spits in Lethal’s face before leaving with his newly won title.

We cut backstage where Christian Cage, AJ Styles and Tomko are shown all watching the post-match events from the previous match. Tomko quietly comments to AJ that there's another guy who now has a title, pointing at Cage as he does so to point out that Christian doesn't have a belt while they're still the tag team champions. Cage hears this, and points that "you two clowns might have titles around your waist, but who are you defending them against tonight?" That shuts Tomko up. Cage turns his attention back to the TV monitor in front of him as Styles and Tomko look at each other.

Robert Roode (w/Ms. Brooks) vs. Kaz

As Robert Roode makes his way to the ring along with Ms. Brooks, Jeremy Borash reminds of the history between these two, as footage is shown dating back to the Fight for the Right tournament match a month or so ago. After Kaz makes his way to the ring, he's jumped as he gets on to the ring apron by Roode, who laying into him with clubbing blows to the head and body. Kaz eventually gets into the ring where Roode whips him into the ropes and hits a backdrop, before following it up with a clothesline over the top rope to the outside.

The referee prevents Roode from following Kaz to the outside, giving Ms. Brooks a perfect opportunity to interfere. She removes one of her heels, and hits Kaz in the throat with it, which the referee fails to spot. Kaz struggles to get his breath, and then has to again deal with Ms. Brooks. This time, she jumps on his back, trying to choke him out. Kaz overpowers her, and tosses her over his shoulder to break the choke. The referee sees what is going on this time, and orders Ms. Brooks to the back, which Roode complains about.

Kaz gets back into the match, hitting Roode with a clothesline and a drop kick. He follows it up with a slingshot leg drop for a two count, before Roode uses a thumb to the eye to stop Kaz' momentum. Roode hits a knee drop and a neck breaker for a two count of his own, before levelling Kaz with a Northern Lariat. Kaz again kicks out on two. They trade punches back and forth, with Kaz coming out on top, only for Roode to again put a thumb in his eye. This time, Roode follows it up with a belly-to-back suplex and makes the cover, with Kaz again kicking out on two.

Kaz starts to make a comeback. He hits Roode with another dropkick, and follows it up with a swinging neck breaker. As he does this, Ms. Brooks makes her way back towards the ring, and hides under the ring. Kaz hits a German suplex then sends Roode into the ropes, but Roode ducks underneath a Jumping High Kick attempt from Kaz. Roode tries to hit the Payoff, but counters and hits a DDT. Ms. Brooks makes her way from under the ring and jumps onto the ring apron, but as she does so, Kaz whips Roode into the ropes. Roode and Brooks collide, with Brooks falling to the outside. Kaz takes full advantage, and hits a Hangman's neck breaker followed by a DDT before making the cover and getting the win. Winner at 8:29 - Kaz

Kaz celebrating before making his way towards the back as Roode and Ms. Brooks are left at ringside. They eventually head towards the back, with Roode giving her a ton of verbal abuse for costing him the win.

A video package airs ahead of our main event, showing footage from the past two weeks of TV where Sting and his challenger tonight have been teaming together.

TNA World Heavyweight Title Match - Sting (C) vs. Ron 'The Truth' Killings

Ron Killings makes his way to the ring, followed by the champion, Sting. After David Penzer does the in-ring introduction, both men go face to face before they ease off into opposite corners, building the anticipation before locking up. They lock up, and Sting takes Killings back into the corner. Killings makes the ropes, and Sting breaks clean. They run the ropes, with Sting taking down his opponent shortly with multiple arm drags. They then run the ropes again. This time Killings is able to leapfrog Sting and take him down with a dropkick, as Borash and Nash comment on Killings' leg injury suffered during his tag team match with Sting this past week on TV. As Killings follows up with a standing side kick, Borash says there doesn’t seem to be any ill effects.

Killings stays in control for a few minutes before going for a flying forearm, but Sting uses his veteran experience to duck the move and leave Killings crashing to the outside. From there, Sting takes charge. He keeps Killings down and grounded on the mat, but takes note to keep away from attacking Killings’ leg.  After dominating for several minutes, Sting tries to hit the Stinger splash, but Killings moves out the way causing Sting to crash into the corner. Killings rolls him up but only gets a two count.

Killings then drop kicks Sting and places him on the top rope. He looks for a superplex, but Sting fights off, shoves Killings down and hits a big splash which gets him a near fall. Sting then looks for the Scorpion Deathdrop, but Killings counters it and hits his own variant of the move which leads to another near fall. Sting, upon kicking out, looks at Killings as if to say "what the hell are you doing that for?"  Killings then hits a spinebuster for a two count, and goes up top for the dropkick. But as he attempts the move, Sting grabs him in midair and locks on the Scorpion Deathlock right in the middle of the ring.  The crowd are on their feet for this, but Killings crawls slowly towards the ropes, fighting the hold with every breath until he eventually makes the ropes.

The crowd are now going crazy for Killings, but he struggles to his feet, using the ropes to pull himself up.  As he finally gets to his feet, Sting kicks Killings in the leg, and the challenger falls to the ground in a crumpled heap. On commentary, Nash says he is shocked that the man he has known for years could take such a cheap shot.  Sting continues stomping away at the leg, and goes to lock on the Scorpion Deathlock again, but Killings counters with an inside cradle which gets him a weak near fall that Sting kicks out of before immediately stomping away at the injured leg again. He locks on the figure four leglock as Killings try to fight out of. The pain is too much though, and Killings passes out in the centre of the ring as Sting retains his title. Winner at 14:22 and still TNA World Heavyweight Champion - Sting
